Such a big big shame after the UK gained in respect from last year with ALW and Jade. Basically this is outdated, boring and generally naff. Josh is a decent singer and deserves better, but this will struggle to score many points, if any at all. If you can get a decent price then a 'nul points' is a real possibility. :(

I know Markovs! Josh really is a decent singer and deserves a better song! The trouble is in this country is that the artists dont pick the song theyre going to sing..they just get given it! Its such a shame that its an outdated song. However...I like it now :-)

The problem is, most people will have heard it fro the first time on the night, and it really is not one to like on first listen. The re-done version is better, but this is a strong year and I think it will be instantly forgotten. Bearing in mind it has to be in the top 10 of a countrys favourites to score any points, it may struggle. This is a particularly strong year. I'm gutted for the UK as it has a great musical heritage but songs like this won't do anything.

You seriously think this is a strong year. Personally, I think this is the weakest year in a long time- especially with the plethora of boring ballads present this year!

Different opinions. :) I think there are some amazing ballads this year. Israel is extremely good, and Norway is a classic Euro slow build up to power finish. Azerbaijan, Germany, Turkey, Armania, Ukraine, Spain, Croatia, Slovakia are also excellent songs, and that's only after a few listens. Serbia is a typical etnic song too! I'm sure there are more good ones there.

I am wondering that the song was written by Stock and Waterman. Did they not have their high time in the 80s? I mean does England have the same problem like Germany during the last years?

It's far better than the previous version but it is still, crucially, shit. It is like someone who has been accused of twenty grisly murders only actually being found guilty of sixteen. It's still not exactly what you'd call ideal.

That's hilarious!! Don't know that website but that's funny!

Pretty much! Stock and Waterman were responsible for a few hits by Kylie. Jason Donovan, Bananarama and Rick Astley... And the fast food rockers... :|

Most people in the UK, the ones I know at least, view the Eurovision as the ultimate platform for musical cheese. So an 80's sounding song is viewed as 'perfect' Eurovision material... Maybe it's because I'm a student who will happily tune into anything remotely kitsch, but I don't watch Eurovision to see musical talent. Quite the opposite...
Maybe that's where to problem lies!

I don't think I could ever take Eurovision seriously. :?

Good luck to Josh though, I want him to do well because he's a genuinely nice guy and I don't feel that the song deserves to be in last place. Neither did Andy Abraham. At least those entries were fun.

I take eurovision seriously...always have, always will. Whilst the UK has the best results in the ESC history alongside Ireland....unfortunately this year Pete Waterman and Stock has let us down. Last year we proved we CAN be back in the race to win and this year they wrote this. SUCH a shame because Josh is genuine, hes a fantastic singer (No-one can say his live performances are not among the best in the contest - i will argue to my death about this) hes a good looking guy with charisma. However, the song it just not good enough for the people of Europe.

Maybe, just maybe one day we'll pull our socks up!
