The messy and chaotic beauty of Vidbir is that the biggest names (people with 100 million vews in 1 year, 200 million and 350 million) compete against unknown performers. People more famous than her have taken part in Vidbir. Many super popular people are not afraid to take risks.
The show itself is one of a kind. Joost drama on Eurovision? Meh.
Vidbir 2024 gathered equivalent of its full budget for the armed forces + the ratings and popularity. It's a platform for less-known performers (it's even harder to find such opportunity for them because of war). Public broadcaster naturally tries to involve more public. Even financial troubles will not scare Suspilne. They did Junior Vidbir literally in a corridor a couple of years ago, but people should be able to vote.

This year when we crashed the voting it could be 100% jury selection. But Suspilne gave extra day so eveyone could vote.

Kola performed in Russia + not sure if her music would become popular outside of Ukraine.
Soloviy started exploiting scandals recently. Breakup, religion, catfights... and not a single song that I like. Also, her vocals on Kamerton sound weak, imo.
Klavdia Petrivna. I watched the full show in Sports Palace. There were songs where she was struggling vocally (mostly because of overwhelming emotions), there were songs where she sounded perfect. She can afford to flop and still stay super popular, so it's the best time to submit a song.
I was vocal against KRUTЬ back in the day and I still am. Her personality is what drags her down in the show biz.

We will see whom she decides to invite/select. She can be very unpredictable But of course she will invite/favor Klavdia Petrivna, KAZKA, Lely45, Khayat, Freedom Jazz, OKS.

No major changes. Suspilne has started receiving songs until November 10.
If submission got rejected, performers can still work on it until it meets the rules and send it until November 11.

Performers can submit more than 1 song, but the broadcaster will choose one.
Band members can additionally take part as solo projects.

Suspilne will form the longlist of 20 performers who will go through auditions in December.

We will find out 10 finalists until December 20. The last finalist will be decided by online voting by January 17.
The rules say 11 finalists, the site says 10. Mess

The final will take place in February.
