I wonder how Oksana Skybinska recent appointment as head of special projects department will impact our ESC/JESC production now she’s in charge of everything compared to previous years when she been HOD as deputy chief of international relations.

Is Pivovarov eligible to participate? I could see him giving it a go. He'd win Vidbir handily. He's a great live performer too, and is capable of writing a catchy song.

Too bad KOLA can't take part. Something like Salut Papa would be cool. Not sure how she is live though.

Surprised we haven't seen Anna Trincher at Vidbir yet.

Khrystyna Soloviy has talked about giving it a go, but I wonder if she's pissed off Shurov now after she apparently backed out late in the game last year. If she does try, i think she'll need to go back to the Okean Elzy producers to come up with a contender. The music she's released on her own is ok but wouldn't be competitive at ESC.

Will Tayanna ever try again? She hasn't had any hits in a while (I don't think). Feels like her time has passed. But I wouldn't mind her with something like I Love You.

Maybe CHEEV?

I'm almost certain Yulia Yurina will try again. I'm not a fan of her music, alas. In fact, I'm not a fan of most of these indie acts who can't seem to write anything with a catchy or memorable melody. Hope they stay away.

Hopefully Melovin will stay away too.

I would love to hear what Authentix would come with, but I wonder if we're due for something "less ethnic" from Ukraine next year.

Is Masha Kondratenko still a thing, or was she a one hit wonder with Vanka Vstanka? Don't know how she is live either.

Other than those names (and Klavdia Petrivna, of course) i struggle to think if any other likely candidates for next year. Maybe we're due for another discovery ala Go_A?

Anton Kramer. People are going to blah blah blah about trying to hop onto non-binary train, but f--k it. Wanted them for a few years already. They are talented and their live vocals doesn't differ from studio version. Hopefully, with a song that shows their few octaves range.

Ann Kovtun.

Gordiy Starukh, in a duo with someone.

CHEEV with something like this:

YAGODY said they will take part one more time xlove

Authentix

OSTY

If we want a funny & unique bop then we must choose Musli UA:

Klavdia Petrivna. Of course xbow

A dream of mine is to see Kozak Siromaha participate in Vidbir (or maybe even Eurovision itself). I love his style and listen to his songs on a regular basis. His songs might seem like a funny parody on first glance, but they all have a deeper meaning. He mostly sings about Ukrainian (and cossack) culture. Siromaha himself is also a very interesting guy, here's an article about him, if anyone's interested:

And here's a few of my personal favorites from his tracks:

^ He has tried in 2023 and 2024 and didn't qualify for Vidbir final both times.
It will be even harder for him now, when this kind of ethno is past its peak.

How? In Eurovision the peak is still happening.

There's no such "cossack" ethno on Eurovision. But here it's already past its peak.
Look at our recent Vidbir. The girls toned down ethno elements in their song, the best ethno song finished 5th. The tendency hasn't changed yet (same for our charts), ethno won't win unless it's a very good song or super outstanding unique performer or someone with a huge fanbase.

Kazhanna said that she will submit an entry xlove Jerry Heil has a label, Kazhanna was her 1st signed artist.

My wishlist. Part 2:

Sofia Artemenko. JESC NF 2nd palce, her unique feature is that she intonates/does melisma in wolf howling.

Alisa Chydzhan. Speaking of strong vocals and JESC.

ARTBAT.

Victoria Niro.

DONBASGRL. I know that people who work in Suspilne music department know her:

Anna Trincher will host Vidbir Junior.
Jerry Heil & alyona alyona both were in the jury last year ;)

If she accepts invitation she won't win if there's another big name.

Feel like she would need a BANGER to have a chance with the jury. Televote would be easier.
