Agreed. Jerry Heil's voice always gives me goosebumps.Huge upgrade from the NF staging-wise. Jerry's voice is otherworldly... I think it's still on the race for the victory, and I wouldn't care at all.
Ukraine's staging as always delivers. Ukraine's staging this year is up there with '1944' and its staging for me. Now I just hope we have the "tree moment" like in '1944' that screamed winner vibes.
If I could I would place a bet on Ukraine winning yet again. Feels like people are massively underestimating the broad appeal of the song. With that I mean that it has all the ingredients to do fairly well with both the public (Top 3 is basically guaranteed here - probably alongside Croatia and the Netherlands) and the juries (Top 5 at least).
I don't see any other of the alleged faves doing better combined.
In recent years both the juries and the public have sadly become quite predictable overall. (apart from maybe one or two outliers every year). But speaking of 2017: Ukraine can hardly be considered the Gabani of 2024 because it's not like anyone ever predicted a landslide for Ukraine this year. Neither do I. In fact I do think they will neither top the tele nor the jury voting. But I currently just don't see anyone who could combine the two in a better way. Countries like Croatia and the Netherlands will do fairly well with the public without a doubt but if Finland could not overcome the jury deficit last year then those two surely won't be able to do so this year. On the other hand I can't see France or to a lesser degree Switzerland doing all that well with the public. We will see, the audience can bre unpredictable as well. Anyone remember when in 2017 everyone was soo sure that would win in a historic landslide??

There are too many similar entries imo. Greece, Austria, Cyprus, Georgia, Luxembourg, Malta - they all cater to the same audience more or less. No doubt that Italy will do best out of these. Then again RAI is usually really bad at coming up with impactful stagings which ruined better placements for Italy more than just once.I think Italy could and possibly will.
