It was my third favourite, and as much as I'd preferred Yagody (I feel like the extended deadline caused them a smidge of a disadvantage tbh), this is great too. The reference to Mother Teresa still irks me a little bit not gonna lie though

I'm gonna give it a :8: :coffee: waiting for a possible revamp

This is were I'm at too. The song... exists. The chorus is beautiful, but it overall is too monotonous, goes nowhere and the rap part, while technically impressive, doesn't really work for me. I also have zero access to the lyrics tbh, but that's a personal thing. Not sure how I'l finally rate it, but probably a :6: or :5:.
Practically because of all the things you mentioned. I have to admit that I (almost) never like songs where suddenly a rap part breaks in. It is not cohorent enough. And the lyrics are just not for me at all either. It turns me off. But I am happy for Ukraine sending apparently something they love when you look at the massive televoters.

I had no idea until this very moment what this would be and... it's really not what i expected from Ukraine, though it's kinda similar to "Stefania" and that rejected other entry that was announced winner first in the same year. I don't think it will do super well, the time doesn't seem right for this kind of introspection, but another 10th-15th place seems likely, for now.

Over 700k votes for aa&JH. Can we blame the crash on their voters?

Best choice won imo and easily the standouts (along with ) among the 10 revealed entries.

I'm probably giving it a :12:

It was certainly the right choice to go with landslide public fave. I'm kind of struggling though to work out exactly what made this one such a clear favourite. It's pleasant but ultimately I find it on the middling side, certainly when compared to the brilliant folk pop/hip hop fusion entries of Go_A and Kalush Orchestra. I do appreciate the haunting atmosphere the chorus of Teresa & Maria creates but that's about it. The song just plods along with that uninteresting beat. The performance needs work too. I've no doubt that will happen as it's Ukraine. You pull through no matter what xheart

I've gotta be honest though. Can't give no more than a respectable :6: points. I far from dislike this entry but it's not something that excites me.

❌ The beginning gave me vibes of a slower "Shum".

❌ Afterwards the song becomes repetitive.

❌ The Rap part adds nothing and doesn't break the rhythm as it should. It has no panache.

❌ Harmless sound, a "Heart of Steel" without epic peaks and scratchy hits.

Disappointed. Was there really nothing better to choose? Worse than Malta. Besides being soulless, this song is just right for a snooze fest.

Rating :4:

I'm rating this a :7:. It's not a bad song by any means and for sure It is an improvement from Heart of Steel and the chorus Is really good, I'm not so sure about the chemistry within them and the overall performance. Maybe It Will grow, but for now I can't elevate the score further.

Well, I'm not mad. They were my #2.
And I'm glad Jerry Heil finally got her chance to participate in esc.
The song isn't perfect, but it surely deserves :10:

They were my favorites to win.
:8: for now.
The chorus is great, the middle part needs a revamp imho.

Well... this is the ideal crossover of 1944 and Solovej. Really interesting; maybe not a winner?
Gate:no: remains my #1 for now
