It's the same typ of song for me in certain aspects. Don't get me wrong, I pretty much liked the song for a very long time this season and it's still in my top 10. But I just had this feeling that it might be too edgy for a good result/qualification. Of course it's very unlikely but it could happen with a low jury score (this actually IS likely in my opinion) and a mediocre televoting result...

I will repeat, it has a 88 percent qualifying Chance and is 8 placed in the final odds.

Ok I get it you don't like the song, but it doesn't sound anything like Levan Polka that's just nonsense

Maybe the text is not that varied, but the instrumental is the best and lost hypnotizing I've eher heard. It's like being drunk without drinking bear...

I don't really hear much similarities tbh, I don't mind the Triana Park entry tbh, but that one was way more amateur in all aspects (production, performance etc.) than this...

But yes, I am afraid the juries will downgrade it, based on their track-record and pathological hatred towards everything different, but I can't see them downgrading it that much that it couldn't qualify (at least I hope), that would be a disgrace really. Also, the fact that 10/17 countries are qualifying (so a majority) plus Ukraine has some "friends" in this semi, should also work in their favor.

According to Eurovoix, that stand-in singer's day job is working at Taco Bell. So who knows, this attention might actually help launch her own music career.

Also according to Eurovoix, "Then my guide told me that the singer was sick and that I had to come because I was the only one who knew the act. Otherwise, someone else would have to learn the song completely phonetically in two hours, and that was almost impossible."

So she already had learned the song from those stand-in rehearsals (we don't know how much time she had to learn the song), but given the stand-ins usually will be a stand-in for multiple acts as a lead or backing singer, it probably wasn't a great deal of time.
