The question is... If Ukrainian artists sing in Russian, can the music be called Russian?
We have Austrian and Swiss artists sing in German (obviously) and I would still define it as "German music" performed by international artists.
If someone asks me what kind of music I love, I also say that I'm into Russian music naming Max Barskih, Vera Brezhneva, ALEKSEEV, Jah Khalib whilst stating that they are of Ukrainian/Kazakh citizenship, though.
He explained why: the word "russia" in the title of a youtube video gets you more views. I understand your frustration, but it's a valid point.

And you will be wrong because that music was produced in Ukraine (except Brezhneva probably) and it's actually Ukrainian music in Russian language. More respect for my country, please

I still beg to differ. It's still music which is entirely performed in Russian. I refer to the language by saying I enjoy "Russian music" whilst I don't like German pop songs (either they have been sung by Germans, Austrians or Swiss people). Another example is Skald which are a French group but their music/language is Old Norsk/Norwegian. Or Valery Meladze which is Georgian but sings in Russian as well. This one is even more twisted though.
I respect Ukraine. That's why I haven't visited Russia anymore + I always state that the music I like are performed by artists from different countries, especially Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
I've always respected the sovereignty of former Soviet countries and I'm always trying to explain to people that Armenia, Ukraine, Estonia and Russia ain't the same (it's utterly sad but one still has to do it).
I'll try to be more sensitive though and try to say "I like music performed in Russian rather than Russian music" in the future, though. I'm sorry and I don't want to offend anyone.
So if it's performed in English then it's English? Even if it's such tragic English from Melovin?))

I will be honest: for me ALEKSEEV, Lorak, Loboda are Russian music. While artists like Max Barskih, Monatik are Ukrainian because I feel like this. This term is quite blurry... But calling Verka Russian is nonsense I wouldn't feel butthurt if they said that about Alekseev because I don't even percept him as ukrainian artist anymore. Performing on russian government channels is a big NO for me, even if I may like artist's music (for example Loboda).
