Finally the truth is spoken about Jamala's chances at Eurovision. It's a local song that won't have the appeal of something like Helpless.

I wouldn't be so sure about this. Of course it's a local subject, but nevertheless it has a more broader relevance to many people. Plus it is controversial. Those songs often get more attention, more hate but also more support.

Suus is as amazing & stunning as 1944..

"Suus" is not only my favourite Eurovision entry of all time, but also one of my favourite songs ever. I believe "1994" would be the most extraordinary song seen at the contest since "Suus".

It doesn't matter because there will be a different dress & staging for Stockholm.

But in a way it's good, we don't know if she'll go or not for something similar. In the semis the staging didn't work, now it's even worse, so it's clear to me that someone has some terrific ideas. She should know that this doesn't work and that she needs to do something with her team (not from him, but yes, she should know).

1944 is much stronger than Suus for me. Like, Suus is a sort of weird sidenote that I can appreciate, but 1944 is art.

Juries can spot vocal talent if nothing else, and Jamala's vocals are insanely strong. Even if she was singing happy birthday she'd get through to the final. Combine that with European sympathy to Ukraine (and antipathy to Russia), combine it with hopefully even better staging, combine it with what seems to be a weakish year for Eurovision, and combine it with a song that is impossible to ignore and will absolutely be remembered come voting time, love or hate, and Jamala is looking straight at a top 5 finish and possibly the win.

One example, and that's it. And let's not even compare these 2 songs when it comes to quality. They just aren't even close. Jamala's song is decent. Rona was astonishing. I think you and I both died a happy death that Saturday night.

I literally could not see a single wrong thing about Jamala's staging. Everything was perfect. Much better today than two weeks ago.
