Svoboda is an ultra-nationalist party that basically dislike everything that is not pure hetero- Ukrainian

They have some ok points though (anti communism and criticizing the Russian influence), but overall they're just a liiiiiiittle too extreme (as one can notice by such idiotic statements)

Their problem with Gaitana is her skin color, I doubt they would bother if the singer would be white.

NTU held a press conference today with Gaitana, Ruslana, NTU bosses and UN ambassador.
The bastard will be sued (with PLEASURE! The broadcaster needs additional money ).





Euronews recorded a special ad with Vitaliy Klitchko as for this theme.
I totally agree with what he said. Gaitana is more Ukrainian then those who wear our national clothes and scream how they like Ukraine :|


The representative of Ukrainian president also said a word: "I think that this statement is arrogant, unprecedented and without a doubt I call it a racist attack. All people, no matter what color of their skin is, what's their religion or language are Ukrainian citizens".


Gaitana: "This problem is not only about me. I'm very ashamed for such statements because it ruins Ukrainian reputation. We want Ukraine to be a part of European family. That nobody was afraid to come here and give birth to kids. That nobody dreamt to move somewhere else where there's no racism. It's not an offense to me, it's a problem that should be solved".



Ruslana: "It's hard to imagine that this is happening in Ukraine nowadays. I'm not lucky, and I was even mentioned in that statement! I'm as a flagship of Ukrainian culture call Gaitana my sister. They said a-la Ruslana is the real example of our culture and she deserved and Gaitana doesn't deserve because "she doesn't belong to our race" o____0
Basically Ruslana was shocked. I think it was visible even on the press conference.


It caused a big political reaction. All parties (even Svoboda allies) spoke against that statement and obviously they "hinted" :twisted: police to pay attention to this.



ps. I have no idea if she helps her with the entry. Wishful thinking, but they are friends + Ruslana said right before the NF that she's ready to help our representative.

Ditto. Though she said that she can help with anything possible if needed. I have no idea, Gaitana definitely will ask her advice but she's already too established to ask something more )))

Nobody recorded it unfortunately. Ruslana was supportive as always and held hands with Gaitana etc.
Meanwhile another former ESC participant Ani Lorak supported her.

btw, this is the 1st time since 2008 when the top performers openly support our representative.
Gaitana can become the 1st performer since Ani Lorak who will be sponsored (partially) by the government. Though it depends of the presidential meeting.

Meanwhile Crimea Music Fest (our Worldwision) invited those who didn't qualify in the NF (esp Renata, Matias and Max) to represent the host nation. Gaitana will perform there as a special guest.

Song Ill Never Let Go is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFULLY! Ay, Ukraine why you dont send this song in Baku?
I like Be My Guest and Ukraine will be in my top, but balad Ill Never Let Go is the best balad ever (together with Never Let You Go and Believe of course). And Edward Romanyuta is cute. Did I said, that I like boys from Eastern Europe? So I like them!!

The NF juror, former Head of NTU Music department (thanks to her we debuted and received 1 victory and 2 2nd places) gave extreme reaction @her Facebook. Not gonna quote her saying in full but her 1st sentence addressed to that person was: "what a scum" :*)
