Shakhtar - Toulouse ~ 4:0

Awesome game. I didn't expect SO many goals too. My fave is the 2nd one by Adrianu, I think Sheva should learn how to do it properly   So after 3 games Shakhtar is at #1 with 9 points.

other games:
Lazio - Villareal ~ 1:1
Salzburg - Levski ~ 1:0
Sheriff - Twente ~ 2:0
Steaua - Fenerbahce ~ 0:1
Benfica - Everton ~ 5:0
Bate - AEK ~ 2:1
Brugge - Partizan ~ 2:0
Eindhoven - Kobenhavn ~ 1:0
Sparta - Cluj ~ 2:0
Athletic - Nacional ~ 2:1
Austria - Werder ~ 2:2

The team that i'm making lobby for needs only 4 points to qualify , a home victory with the nubish Fc Oaia (aka Steaua Bucuresti :) and a draw with Twente will be enough. Go Sheriffs. In other words , another disappointing thursday from romanian teams , if they only "act" before talking , a little modesty would not ruin their "greatness" .

I think after this round, we'll know about 80% of the qualified teams in the next round. ;)

It was a disater for the Romanian clubs last night. I just don't know what it happens with these teams, and Romanian football in general...but I'm really dissapointed by the results. 4 teams qualified in the group stage, but is very probably that none of them to progress in the next round :( .

FC København - CFR Cluj 2-0

Wohoooo! By far our greatest match in Europe League so far. In addition PSV defeated Sparta Praha, so we're currently 2nd in our group with only one point separating us and Sparta. It couldn't turn out better. I hope for a great match in Prague.

With a match of this high importance I'll most definitely be going to Prague in a few weeks.

It's been too quiet in this thread, and therefore I'll kickstart it :D .

32 teams have advanced to the next round, some of which were directly qualified due to their Champions League defeat. I here provide you the drawn matches for next round:

FC Rubin Kazan (RUS) v Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC (ISR)

Athletic Club (ESP) v RSC Anderlecht (BEL)

FC København (DEN) v Olympique de Marseille (FRA)

Panathinaikos FC (GRE) v AS Roma (ITA)

Club Atlético de Madrid (ESP) v Galatasaray A? (TUR)

AFC Ajax (NED) v Juventus (ITA)

Club Brugge KV (BEL) v Valencia CF (ESP)

Fulham FC (ENG) v FC Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR)

Liverpool FC (ENG) v FC Unirea Urziceni (ROU)

Hamburger SV (GER) v PSV Eindhoven (NED)

Villarreal CF (ESP) v VfL Wolfsburg (GER)

R. Standard de Liège (BEL) v FC Salzburg (AUT)

FC Twente (NED) v Werder Bremen (GER)

LOSC Lille Métropole (FRA) v Fenerbahçe SK (TUR)

Everton (ENG) v Sporting Clube de Portugal (POR)

Hertha BSC Berlin (GER) v SL Benfica (POR)

Marseille is a horrible draw for us. We'll really be put to the ultimate test. After having proceeded to this stage from a fairly easy group, we'll face a tuff opponent.

Horrible draw for Urziceni.... :( Liverpool wasn't very good this season, but still they are a huge name and a very good team. I hope we'll see a great football, and who knows...maybe a big surprise will happen :D  We have nothing to lose... :p

As you all can see Unirea Urziceni will play against Liverpool in the next round of Europa League.

Look what it says in a British newspaper, "The Idependent" about Unirea from Romania:
"Rafael Benitez's charges were examining their atlases to find a Romanian town which sounds like something you'd locate inside a gents' toilet."
"Playing an unheralded side does bring its pressures for Liverpool: defeat to a club who must play at the Steaua Stadium in Bucharest because their own has a capacity of just 7,000 would be a huge embarrassment to Benitez."

I can't believe that in 2009, in a country like UK, the journalists are so rude and unprofessional. The UK media disappointed me once again...is one of the worst in Europe. :(

GO Unirea, we should give them a lesson!

Really? Thank you

maybe someone's name sounds like s**t for me...but I don't say it cuz I'm polite...

So what importance for the match has the name of the team? Is it fair to write so many stupid thing, to offend with no reason? I just don't know what to say anymore... :|
