A few Surprises Yesterday.

Celtic vs Cluj 3:4 (4:5 total)
Qarabaq vs Nikosia 0:2 (2:3 total)
Porto vs Krasnodar 2:3 (3:3 total)

Also Kiev lost vs Brügge and Basel vs Linz.

My Prediction for the Playoffs:

Zagreb vs Trondheim
Cluj vs Slavia
Young Boys vs Belgrad
Nikosia vs Amsterdam
Linz vs Brügge
Olympiakos vs Krasnodar

Kransodar is far better team than Olympiacos but Olympiacos is a good team too. People were sure that Instabul Basaksehir would qualify but Olympiacos sent them to Europa League.
PAOK was unlucky against Ajax and the referee was unfair. However in the Europa League play-offs they have a way easier opponent (Slovan Bratislava).
I'm really happy that APOEL sent out Qarabaq and that was not a surpise i think. The surprise was that Qarabaq won at Cyrpus. APOEL is better team than Qarabaq.

Would it be hilarious if it took us 11 (and counting) attempts to successfully negotiate Champions League qualifiers if there's two other clubs from the same country (LASK, Austria Wien) that have a qualification record of 1/1? Probably yes.

Do I care?

Nope.

goooo LASK!!!

What Olympiacos did in the qualification round is more difficult than it seems. They ruled out Viktoria Plzen, Instabul Basaksehir and Krasnodar and now they are on the group stage. Totally 5 wins and one draw with total goal differnce 13-1. I'm really curious to see their opponents tomorrow in the draw.

Also its so bad that Greece's main opponent for the 15th place in UEFA ranking is Cyrpus. :( However it won't be surprise to me if we fall 18th after this year!

Olympiacos and Red Star fans are actually brothers!
Anyway 1st and 2nd place in that group are for Bayern and Tottenham but the 3rd place that leads to Europa League is possible for Olympiacos!

I know it's probably not that important, but anyway... It's Slavia Praha. There's also Sparta Praha and Dukla Praha in our 1st league, with Sparta Praha having reached the Europa League quaterfinals 3 years ago (and Slavia achieving the same this spring after defeating Sevilla and eventually losing to Chelsea). For a similar effect, try writing just "Manchester, :en:" :D

Sorry to get so butthurt, it has been 12 years since my beloved Slavia last made it to the Champions League groupstage, unlike those funny folks from Sparta, so a man's gotta celebrate and promote his own club when there's finally a good occasion ;)

Only in Germany they use the name of the city to call a football team! No one calls Olympiacos just ''Piraeus''!

All 3 Germans should qualify easily.
