I mean Italy with Tunisia are neighbors.
What is the relationship between them?
Greece & Fyr Macedonia are neighbors, but we never vote for them, due to political reasons.

I don't think that there is a real relationship between Italy and Tunisia (but we can say the same thing for Libia, Morocco or Algeria). Many italians see tunisian people only as "african illegal immigrants" who come here in Italy in illegal ways, and that's bad, as well as stupid and prejudicial.

If we talk about Eurovision, I don't think that Italy would vote for Tunisia, but maybe tunisian citizen in my country could vote for their nation as Romanians, Polish and Ukrainans already do!

Tunisia is probably the only Arab country I would be excited to see in Eurovision. Not even Morocco, or Lebanon, I don't like them as much. Tunisia tends to be much more secular/westernized in a cultural sense, can be considered 'Turkey' of the Arab world (no surprise our flags are similar at this point )

And I assume they will have some interest since the government is now led by secularist European-oriented Nidaa Tounes which won a landslide victory in the recent elections against Islamists, so chances are the state channel would not mind Israel.

Btw, Tunisia is affiliated with France rather than Italy, they could exchange high points.
