There was pretty much no random (inane) banter between the hosts, no forced bad jokes, no made up romantic tension. It was just straight on information and everything was fast-paced. "Here's the next country!", "And now for an intermission!", "Green room interviews!".
Dareisay that this was the most effective hosting during the 21st century (since I only started watching Eurovision in 2000)?
To be honest, it's exactly what I didin't like about them. The show shouldn't be just about presenting entries.
We all already knew them and if I wanted effectiveness, I would watch all songs on youtube. Without interesting show ESC would be just display of random mjusic from all over continent.
