Unfortunately the Dutch tend to pick the wrong song when they have a preselection so hopefully the broadcaster will do the right thing.

It's mostly because of the quality of the NF's. I can remember that 2009 was a Topper's only final, 2010 a Shalalie Shalala final and 2012 a The Voice final.

Netherlands are probably who I'm most excited for next year, after two strong credible entries, they've proved their worth in the contest and I hope they maintain that.

Would be ecstatic to see Within Temptation representing the Netherlands; they'd be a pretty likely #1 for me (only potentially challenged by Finland sending Poets of the Fall, as far as established artists go). Shame to hear that they've spoken against entering, but I suppose I can hold some hope that their opinions have changed after the last two years of good results from 'non-Eurovision' songs...

True! Personally i like this kind of music, but I can imagine why people see this kind of genre as "noise". Bummer though, cause musically colorblind is really great and not just "screaming".
