Bonkers? I found it pretty conventional compared to some of the mince of that year. As for the staging, I agree it was a bit out there, but we're judging the song and not it's stage antics.

Yes! Definately alot of mince in 2008, I think it was spawned by Verka the year before (which I loved none the less). What I consider the joke entries of 2008 are Estonia, Ireland, Spain, Latvia, etc...for me Andy Abraham was the biggest 'joke' Every year is influenced from the year before. In 2007 how many rock songs were there after Lordi. For me the 2006 -2009 period was very 'look at me, look at me'. It is all about the song, but you coudn't help but take notice of the bizzare antics on stage. When it got to 2010, I felt it started to die down a little, once again there is more concentartion on the songs rather than clothes on a washing line and people in wedding dresses, among other 'crazies'.
