Group 40 proved to be a very popular round, eighteen voters in total, all with different views on the songs. Estonia 1997 proved to be a popular choice, with everyone giving it 4 points or above (The exception being Jim). This makes Estonia the winner, with an eleven point lead on the 2004 runner up Serbia Montenegro. However Serbia Montenegro did gain more 12 points than Estonia. In the top 7 we have songs from the 70's 80's and 90's beating off completion from strong songs from the 2000's, Denmark 2002 is pushed in to 8th place over the winning song from Luxembourg in 1983.
Rose, LokoFan444 and TheVoice, were lucky to get six of their songs through this round. Elsewhere Narmina and Spanky only get three through this time. RomanFromRussia gave the most obscure 12 points, awarding it to Turkey 1987 which in the end came 20th. The 12 points saved it from coming last, just as it did in Brussels. But sadly the song that was pushed in to 24th was Slovenia 2004. Platin may have not have had a successful song, but when they performed in Istanbul they got married the following day. What a happy ending ...aww!
