when it started I thought, ooh its quite good. Then screaming away for 2 minutes ruins the whole vibe. 0 pts.

Re: THE 2012 'EXPERT' PANEL - ALBANIA

To me, this song is really about something that only very very few of us will avoid in our lives: breaking up a meaningful relationship and going through the emotional process that follows the break-up.
Sooner or later almost everyone will endure what Rona sings about; it's a sad but true fact :(

This is such an unusual entry. There are already so many cheerful and happy Eurovision songs, let for once a darker side of life take the spotlight.

So I say 5 times Bravo to one of the most courageous songs ever sent to Eurovision.

Here, here.. agree with everything you wrote Mozz. The song touches me in a different way though than it does you. It makes me think of the deep depression I have dipped in and out of and have suffered most of my life. I remember sad yesterdays and think of a tomorrow that feels cold and helpless. "Suus" brings a beauty and hope to my problems however, listening to it, it's like im standing face to face with my troubles. Im wallowing in my pains but also striking a punch and gaining strength at the same time. Very few singers today touch on deep pain, at least those in the public eye. Rona is indeed incredibly brave and courageous to do so especially when there are soo many eyes on her and people judging. It pains me (and probably annoys me just as much) everytime I see someone insulting Rona and her song. Music comes in many different forms as does singing.. as do emotions. People get scared when anything not the norm is put infront of them.

About the break up thing. Rona was asked in an interview "Is it a song about a relationship" and she quickly responded "Oh no". Only Rona knows truly what her song is about. We can feel her pain though from it and we relate that pain to our sad times and suffering, whatever form that it may have come in. It truly is a powerful song to do such a thing. I sometimes wish it wasnt in the contest for Rona's sake as shes created something very personal and special that shouldnt be judged.

It starts quite smoothly, it seems like an ok ballad, and then, she starts shouting that she wants chaaaaaaaaaai (tea), the first time I heard it it made me jump from the chair! Somebody give her some tea, if she wants to drink tea so much, maybe she's got a sore throat that's why she's asking for a cup of tea so passionately...

Oh, I forgot to mention, 0 points! This is not something I consider "art" as some people say (ok, it's their opinion and I respect it). For me, it's a 3 minutes of screaming!

It's wonderful to see that some songs can have a special meaning to people, that they can aid, soothe, comfort, and resonate one's feelings.

I'm really surprised to learn that Suus is not about a break-up (so many cues, both in the lyrics and in the video were pointing at it). But that's the beauty of many songs: every person can interpret it in his own way. This songs definitely reminds me, in a stark way, of the many days I lived and lived through, after the end of my first love (even years later) and living alone for the first time.

A little song that you, R., might like (and all others who might like it too):
