Re: TÜRK?YE - Turkey 2010 - maNga - We Could be the Same
Tom Dice is cute indeed. He reminds a bit of Elijah Wood.

BiancaGhiseta said:So, here comes my report about the maNga-concert in Cologne :
Everything went out fine for me, so that I could arrive without problems in Cologne. It took me more than 1000 km and a half month wages, but I do not regret one single Cent and not one single kilometre to see them play!
I arrived at Herbrands around 8 p.m. We still had to wait in front of the building until 9 p.m. But it was not boring, because we could have a look through the windows, where we could see the rehearsal of the band. A little panic came up, because all the musicians were present, but Ferman looked very strange. That was a man with very short cutted hair. We were not sure if this is Ferman without his beautiful curls or a substitute for him, because he maybe was ill or whatever
But I tried to calm down the other girls and said that this is maybe just a guy who tests the micro and Ferman just does not want to use his voice for this test
Exactly at 9 p.m. we could go in. But we still had to wait 2 hours. Actually it should start 10 p.m., but the guys let us wait. I was a bit upset, because I did not really could stand anymore and I did not feel my feet anymore
And I thought, that maNga must do a really good job for bringing me in a good mood again
Around 11 p.m. they came on stage and played “Beni Benimle Birak” at first and they took me from the very first momentIt was soooo great! I cannot describe
And Ferman of course was presentHe wear a jacket, but dressed down it soon and then he wear an armless shirt Yagmur wear a funny polar jacket with Eskimo fur. But also he felt too warm, soon
I have totally respect of Ferman, because he sang all the time so great and is a really good entertainer, who can catch the audience!!. I think, this must be a really hard job. But he is so cute. Like a big child, very open and heartly and nevertheless sexy. He often looked into the masses as if he wants to know which kind of people visit their concertAnd Yagmur really rocked the stage. And Efe seemed to feel boring, I think, because he filmed the concert while his own concert
They sang all their big hits, there was not one boring minute while those 90 minutes! The only two songs I missed a lot were “Hepsi Bir Nefes” and “Raptiye Rap Rap”I do not have an idea, why they did not play “Hepsi Bir Nefes” at least, because I think that it works really good at a live performance. I don’t know
What I really was surprised about was that “Dünyanin sonuna Dogmusum” worked out live so great! I had the feeling that this song catched the masses at most. But also “Libido” and “Iz birakanlar unutulmaz” and “Yalan” and so on
OMG, the last part of “Yalan” – I love it! And I also did not expect that they would bring the two woman-songs, I mean “Iz Birakanlar unutulmaz” and “Dursun Zaman”. Waaah, everything was so gorgeous!!!
But there was one song, which they started to play and I did not know this song. But it did not matter, I just jumped around and had my fun – until I discovered that it was “We Could Be The Same”
At the end they dropped different things into the audience like drums sticks or some of their clothes (I do not really know, what it was).
I must say, that the whole show was made really really professionell and the live singing was absolutely brilliant! I have been to several rock-concerts, but I never have seen one of such a good quality and fascinating band
And I have to say something also – about the audience: Most of the people were Turkish and they made such a good atmosphere. They were celebrating their favourite band in a very nice way. They were dancing and singing and had their fun. But there were no death-drinking people or hiting each other as I know it from other concerts!
I felt really well in this audience
For myself I can say, that I never got so crazy before at any other concert I had been. I could let me fall down totally. Waaaaah, maNga, I want more
And these songs they sang:
Beni Benimle Birak
Bir Kadin Cizeceksin
Bitty Rüya
Yalan
Dünyanin Sonuna Dogmusum
Cevapsiz Sorular
Libido
We Could Be The Same
Hayat Bu Iste
Dursun Zaman
Alisirim Gözlerimi Kapamaya
Sessizlik Sona Erdi
Tek Yön Sectigin Tüm Yollar
Iz Birakanlar Unutulmaz
Evdeki Ses
Her Ask Ömülü Tadacak
Üryan Geldim
and Beni Benimle Birak as da capo again
BTW, what does mean “da capo” in Türkish? People always screamed a word, which I could not understand
Yeah, and the Turkish taxi-driver translated me some of my favourite song lines
If maNga anywhen should play in Germany again, I’ll be there
sorry for writing so much

Kolay geliyor de?il mi her?ey sana ?

Ne kadar da ho? ne kadar da ciks
Alternatif gençlik ?imdi ayakta
Z?plamaya haz?rsan durma z?pla
Z?pla, durma

Aya??nda üç çizgi üç çizgi pabuçlar
Tan?d?k geliyor bu tav?rlar
Z?plamaya haz?rsan durma z?pla
Pantolonunda var uzun bir zincir
Gözleri de sanki bir çilingir

Al sana pogo durma delir
Z?pla, durma
Al?yoruz sorgulamadan
Ya??yoruz anlayamadan
Sahip olduklar?m?z

Lyrics & Music : Ya?mur Sar?gül
Libido
Everything comes easily to you, ain’t it?
Destroying, beating up this ’n’ that
We take everything, without a stop
Follow me, come on
There’s a new generation coming, it’s name’s X
How pleasant, how trendy
The alternative youth is ready
If you wanna bounce don’t stop, do it!
Your hair so damn scarlet red
Three-striped shoes on your feet
We know this behaviour very well
If you wanna bounce don’t stop, do it!
There’s a long chain on your pants
Its loops looking like a padlock
Open whichever heart you want, easily enter
Do your pogo, don’t stop, go outa your mind
Bounce, don’t stop
We take everything without ever asking
We live our life without understanding
The things we owned
Began to own us
Bounce, don’t stop….. STOP

I think its definitely hard to translate Turkish lyrics. As the taxi-driver in Cologne explained me, that there is mostly no real word to find in German for a Turkish word. Only a similar one
I always have the feeling that in what ever language you translate a Turkish song, it will never give back what it really wants to say

edit: Some minutes ago I got the news that on the concert in Istanbul yesterday evening there must have a been a big tohuwabohu on stage. People tried to steel Fermans jacket, kissed Yagmur on his mouth, tried to destroy Özgürs drum kit and wanted to steel the banner from Efes table  . Does someone know more?
