Just seen on Trt-2 news. Turkish entrant will be decided on Friday (that means tomorrow ) Maybe we'll wait for a little bit more to hear official announcement :roll: As i knew the hottest candidate is Manga because of the award that they got unfairly :evil: There's no doubt them not accepting a probable offer because they repeated that they're willing to represent Turkey on this area a few times. Wish Trt has another options for representative... :ugeek:

I've supported Manga from the beginning,before the award and i still support them because i know they are really good musicians and believe they will make a good job in eurovision.I am very excited because Manga is the biggest candidate now.I hope they will represent us so go Manga!

Turkish representer will be chosen by the public! :shock:
Since today for one week, the public will send the name they want to TRT on www.trt.net.tr Most wanted artist/band will represent us. I think the details will be on esctoday soon.

^It's better. Emre Ayd?n's fans beat Manga's ones anyway. Emre would be great cause he's preparing an English single and highly possible he sings in English if he'll be chosen. BTW I'd like to see ?ebnem Ferah but she's no chance to lead the poll

Why? ?ebnem has lots of fans. She has a high chance definitely.
Who i want is obvious but any good singer/band that will be able to represent us well is ok for me

As i know, ?ebnem Ferah doesn't have a official fan site but her fans made a lot of sites, forums about her. There are a lot of "?eboist"s I think she has more fans than Emre have and i don't think that Emre has the biggest fan community.
By the way, there aren't 200.000 fans in Emre's official forum, there are 150.000

In the past years the Turkish broadcaster have chosen the country's representative in the Eurovision Song Contest internally. This was also the plan for this year until recently. But now there seems to be a change in plans as TRT General Director Ibrahim Sahin just announced that the next Turkish representative will be selected or at least suggested by the public.
According to TRT General Director Ibrahim Sahin, the Turkish public will be given the chance this year to choose their representative by sending an email with their favourite artist's name to the broadcaster until Friday. Then TRT will contact the one who has received the most "nominations" and if they can reach an agreement then this will be the person(s) to represent Turkey in Oslo.
Mr.Sahin states: "We are using a new method this year. The people will choose the singer who will represent Turkey in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. We will send the singer who receives most votes from people among pop and rock singers." The reason which led TRT to opt for an open poll this year was also explained by Mr Sahin: "It makes our job easier if the people choose the singer. In this way we also receive less criticism." he admits.
Mr Sahin also spoke about his personal preference. "I would like to see Tarkan represent Turkey very much. We made him a proposal last year but he din't accept it."
The poll will be open until Friday. Turkish citizens can send an email with the name of the artist(s) who they believe would be the best to represent Turkey here
Turkey can boast an excellent record in the Eurovision Song Contest ever since Sertab Erener brought it home in 2003. They have managed not only to qualify in the final every single year since the introduction of the new system, but also have achieved no less than four top ten placings since 2004 with Athena (4th in 2004), Kenan Dogulu (4th in 2007), Mor ve otesi (7th in 2008) and Hadise (4th in 2009).

Actually it's not so different than last year Also it worked much better cause there's not that much time an X representative to prepare 3 different songs and then to present them to Trt music department, one of them to be chosen, presentation... :? It' not as easy as to held a NF with songs are already ready...
