To all Turkish people here: Can you tell me more about the members? I do net mean the biografie, but how they are and so on? I am really interested in :p

I don't know where i start but...

Everything started in Ankara, the band met and started to play together there. In 2004 they came to Istanbul to make an album.

In first years in Istanbul, they lived together but now everybody has a home :) When they shared the same house, Cem(bass guitarist) was like the mother of house because he is obsessed with orderliness and Ferman is the opposite, he is the most untidy member of the group. He likes sleeping very much and can sleep nonstop for 18 hours :D

Ferman studied architecture in university. Özgür(battery) studied astronomy. I think they are very smart guys :)

They don't talk about their personal life but there are rumors in the internet that Ferman got married but then divorced in previous years(Yess! :p)

Özgür makes kick-box and some other martial arts. Ferman played basketball and Efe played ice hockey in the past.

These are all i can say for now. Maybe other Turkish members can add more information :)

Oh, I thank you so much for the information : :D

I think it is not the worst that they do not offer too much of their private lifes. So it keeps more secrets and this is usually interesting ;)

Cem as the mother of the company

And do you know what means "conrad" on the arm of Ferman? For us Germans is it quite funny, because it is a German name. My grandfather was to be called so. ;) And which word is on his other arm? I could not read it yet. Yagmurs tatoo I can read and I also know what Amor Fati means.
Do you know a little bit more about Yagmur? I love him very much. But sometimes he seems to me a little bit - "womanish"

Conrad McRae was a basketball player who played at NBA and also two Turkish basketball club (Fenerbahçe and Efes Pilsen). Ferman was his one of the biggest fans and he had a chance to meet him. Conrad died at the age of 29 and Ferman decided to tattoo. His other tattoo is "onüç"; it means "thirteen" in Turkish. He said that 13 is his lucky number. As far as i know 13 was Conrad's jersey number in Efes Pilsen. Also 13 has another meaning for him but he doesn't say what it is. :)

@BiancaGhiseta
You're welcome :)

Yagmur is the most quiet member of the group. I think he doesn't like talking very much. I follow him on twitter and wrote to him a lot of times but he never replied me, never replies anybody but as i understand from his tweets, he is really a deep man.

Yagmur's father is a musician too. He plays ney(reed flute) and played it for Manga's latest album.

Yagmur's style is a little emoish but i don't think he is gay :)

And he is called as "Yamyam" which means "cannibal" in Turkish because when he was a child, he used to bite everyone around :D and Yagmur means "rain" in Turkish. I like that name :)

Oh, I tank you all for the complex information  Thanx a lot!

Asiye: But what do you mean with Yagmur is a "deep" man? :?:

If he is so shy - this is no good circumstance for my maNga concert in Cologne. I am terrible shy as well

I mean he is a thinking man, has some great thoughts and he is sometimes hard to understand but i guess he likes to be like that :) By the way, his twitter account: http://twitter.com/yagmursarigul
You can communicate with him there but he writes so rarely and doesn't reply you but i think he reads all the messages for him.
He writes in Turkish, sometimes in English, sometimes in Yagmurish

I think he is not so shy but a little introvert. :) I've never met him and other guys but i love them very much and try to follow them via internet, TV. I want to meet them one day so much and i will as soon as possible :)

@Asiye: Thank you for Yagmurs Twitter-account

Ali Sarigül must be the father of Yagmur. Isn't it right? I found his name on the booklet of the latest album.

And why has Özgür the nickname "Battery"?

Yeah, I tried to find out a little bit what the names mean.
Ferman Akgül must mean "Regulation White Rose"
Yagmur Sarigül "Rain Yellow Rose"
Özgür Can Oney "Free Soul ..."
Cem Bahtiyar "... happy"
Efe Yilmaz "...brave"

OMG, Turkish people will laugh now, I know

They told it in an interview, that there maybe will be a Turkish version ;)

I have a little bit the feeling that especially in USA maNga is going to be liked
I mean when I watch in Youtube or Myspace, there are so many comments by Americans which are really overwhelmed by them :D
And they often say, that it is a shame that such a good band is not well-known there!

Yes, he must be Yagmur's father :) Battery is the instrument that he plays not his nickname :D I wrote it in brackets for people who don't know which member Özgür is :)

No, there is nothing to laugh. You found the correct meanings :) but akgül and sarigul would be whiterose and yellowrose. There shouldn't be space between the words ;)

They have already a lot of fans out of Turkey like you :) and i hope they will be a worldwide band and have more fans. I think they are good enough to be worldwide, they deserve it :)
