Re: SWITZERLAND 2012

I am a bit surprised about the quite clear winner. Nice place for Sinplus :D

Me too, especially since I was the only one who did'nt award a single point to the winner... but the people (aka 11 voters) has spoken :D

Re: SWITZERLAND 2012

Finally managed to listen to all the songs, some decent/mediocre songs but the only song I really like is I Quattro: Fragile and according to the votes I may be the only one. Bummer.....but you just never know....

01. Patric Scott feat. Fabienne Louves: Real love 78

Whoa!!

I hope that not to be the swiss song as a clear Ell/Nikki copy.

By the way, I sense very good chances for Lys Assia to travel to Baku, where she will finish as a runner-up.
But my predictions have never turned out true (especially when made that early) so... it won't happen.

(Ivo FTW and Emel WTF) :p

Doesn't that happen a lot though? Your tastes seem to be rather...old fashioned.

Don't know, it varies.

Everybody loved France 2009 which seems old fashioned too yet I didn't care for that at all. I love big vocals rather than weak ones overshadowed by backup singers :D

Re: SWITZERLAND 2012

I listened to all the songs again and I think that the NF is quite good. I hope that Switzerland chooses the right song.

My favourites: Real love, Wrong to let you go, Peace and freedom.

Other good options: The song in my head, Quand je ferme les Yeux, Anima Nouva

Songs that I don't like AT ALL: C'etait ma vie, She, L'autre and Black symphony.

Re: SWITZERLAND 2012

I wouldn't mind Lys winning the ticket to Baku, though not being a fan of hers, neither of Siegel. But the idea is amazing and I think she would at least make it to the final.

The only question is (and we have to consider that) what would happen if she dies in between HOD-Meeting and Baku? Before HOD-Meeting they could still ask the runner up to perform, but afterwards? Sorry if this has been asked before.

Hhahah she won't die or it has to be a tragic accident or so, she still looks like such a strong woman for being 84 years old

87 years, I believe. At least according to wikipedia :)

Tonight is the drawing for the running order btw.

Re: SWITZERLAND 2012

I actually don't like this final, I did not like it last year as well.

For me only Lys Assia is a candidate to Baku. She is a woman with Eurovision story on her resume and with a classic song in French. Good combination! If she goes to Baku she may be a surprise when it comes to result. Who expected Italy to finish 2nd? Who thought Lithuania will advance from semi-final? I think almost noone. If Rafael and Evelina succeded in modern ESC, Lys can also succeed :)
