Well I’m sure the KAJ fans are going to be gracious in victory - although some comments already are…less than pleasant I see already.

Oh well. Congrats to KAJ. I don’t like the song at all. It sums up the 2025 contest to me. Jokey and gimmicky and just not representing what I’ve felt Eurovision has been moving towards the last few years.

This year is really feeling more and more like a poor one for me sadly…

I think some of the pro-KAJ sentiment has come about because they symbolize Sweden forgetting about the scoreboard and letting loose for once. And yes, Sweden’s reputation for making the ruthlessly competitive choice most of the time is not unearned. But here’s the thing: I think KAJ are the ruthlessly competitive choice. When you have these three singing and performing something so passionately, so true, so authentic, I think you give Europe something they’ll really respond to. And my god, they lowkey kinda beast it live. One of the least surprising things to find out that they’ve got a couple musicals under their belt; the best real world comp I could come up with is “Corn” from the musical Shucked, a similarly passionate and lovely and massive Broadway opening number of a song.

It might be the end of the season generosity talking, but I’m gonna go ahead and give this a :12:.

And yes, I did type out this whole review from Scottsdale Stadium, where my San Francisco Giants are up an early 5-0 on Kansas City courtesy of towering home runs from Mike Yastrzemski and (correct me if I’m wrong Steph) old friend of @esc87fan ‘s team Matt Chapman

Now watch Sweden indeed winning Esc 2025, but with Kaz and not with Mans ( I cant believe I let people persuade me he was going to be a threat to my Loreenita's record title with that basic-*ss song! ).
Kaz are amazing. What a banger~! :12: points no doubt!

I kind of want KAJ to win just to send a fun song for once, or maybe "Believe Me", even though I don't think either of them are amazing songs or anything. I just had fun watching and listening to their performances.

I don't want Måns to win but obviously he will win. I don't know why people are even speculating, it's so obvious he will win it's not even funny. Måns was predicted as the winner before anyone even heard the song. As long as the song isn't shit he will win with anything if the stage is flashy. I think his song is okayish.

As for the song I personally liked the most it's probably "Hush Hush", it feels very early 2000s Turkey ESC to me. But I don't see it having any chances of winning hence why I'm rooting for the other two above.
Guess I'll have too eat my words on this one. I was absolutely certain Måns would crush everyone in the Jury votes but it was closer than expected. Nice to see.

After this loss he is most likely going to be back for the UK next time, aren't you guys thrilled? /s
Well I’d certainly welcome him - but then again I don’t begrudge someone trying to win something for a second time and be needlessly mean about them.

Ugh, let's not talk about it
I don't normally watch Melfest, but decided to tune in just in case something incredible happened. Needless to say, I'm glad I was there! Happy to see Sweden join Latvia and Germany in sending a song in a national language after ~two decades of sending stuff in English
