The change only the last "Undo my sad" not the first. After the last one there isn't the "bad"

Hippidi Hop and Pop artists have been getting away with atrocious grammar for years so why can't Sanna? The incorrect grammar in her song actually didn't bother me at all.

I'd take it even further. Undo my sad is probably the only element in a bland, forgettable song that makes people memorise it, the only thing which makes it stand out somehow... something which every song needs (even if it's improper grammar ). If it wasn't for that one line of lyrics, I probably would've forgotten this song actually exists.

I strongly disagree. The song is certainly not only memorable for that, at least for me.

Anyway, the new version will be the one presented in Copenhagen? Has Sweden ever made an updated version for the ESC before?

Well, I actually quite like the song but I do agree that the "Undo my sad" part was the most memorable section of the song. The people that complained about it probably don't even care for the song in the first place. I'm worried that the lyrics now might not flow as well.

The new lyrics (oh well, the addition of "love" twice) sounds great imo. It flows just as well, one's not very used to it though, but that's all.

She sings "love" in a way that at least gives me goosebumps. They edited the song perfectly, the "undo my sad" bothered me really much but now that line actually makes sense.

Jepp, once afaik, 1987 Lotta Engberg Fyra Bugg & en Coca Cola, change of song title and well lyrics too in the chorus, became Boogaloo.

Having followed the Scandinavian music scene (mostly Sweden) for almost 5 years now, I'm genuinely disappointed that this is what's on the plate. If Kempe just tweaked the lyrics and changed "Undo my sad" to "Undo myself", then it would sound a lot better. I love Sanna Nielsen as an artist, I have her album, but this is her moment to shine and she shouldn't be singing a song with those kind of lyrics in front of 180+ million people worldwide. Kempe should have just stuck to the original version of the song (without that abomination "love" add on) or just tweaked the lyrics or changed "Undo my sad" to "Undo myself". If this was going to be the case, then Ace Wilder should have won...

Björn does have a point though...

I mean I genuinely love "Euphoria", but it was just a one-hit wonder. I love Loreen as an artist, but she really isn't as popular (outside of the ESC community) as she was in 2012...

Surely you mean the other way around. To me it seems Loreen has never been popular among "ESC community", but rather appealed to a lot of people outside the usual Melodifestivalen/Eurovision fan base. An example of boosting this community with new different people and with other genre preferences. I'm one of those. Her success in Melodifestivalen also changed very much of the conditions surrounding the contest. I'd say calling her a one-hit wonder is pretty ignorant unless you expected her to compete with Lady Gaga. It is very difficult for Swedish artists to reach world wide fame. The only current I can think of is Avicii. Even if someone of us hoped and wished for her to reach some kind of megastar status, I guess in retrospect it would of course have been impossible without massive advertisement and promotion support from her label. Loreen is currently on tour and a new album will be released this year.

I agree with a lot of the points you made but Loreen was immensely popular with Eurovision fans. You can't get anymore "typical Eurovision fan" than OGAE and she won their yearly ranking by a landslide. 375 points to Italy's 212 who trailed in 2nd. For as long as i've been following Eurovision online and interacting with fans, i've never seen such hype over a contestant before than I did with Loreen. She probably did get new people interested in the contest but I don't think all the hype and support came just from them.

I've seen Sanna win in Melodifestivalen this year. A well deserved victory, even though the edition of this year was exceptionally weak. Her song stands head and shoulders above the rest. This also applies to this year's Eurovision Song Contest. "Undo" has everything: strong music, strong emotions, and a very strong and powerful voice. A majestic song brought by a great singer. Lycka till Sanna och Sverige!

I'm pleased to hear that. Loreen has never denied her Eurovision association and always defended the community. She has indeed received some reluctance due to Eurovision from certain dominant groups in the Swedish music/media business (I don't want to mention sc "hipsters" but I guess you can figure it out). It seems among professional musicians she has a lot of respect though. I think she realize that she has Eurovision and the fans to thank for her success and I also think she is truly grateful. I'm really looking forward for the new album which by rumours is produced by Tobias Fröberg.

Undo sounds like something a Swedish composer would compose for Azerbaijan....
