I was really surprise to hear a version like that from Loreen.
I understood that she had some voice problems before and during the Melodifestivalen. Respect to this girl.
And I hope everything is okey with her voice. =)

Euphoria for the people who couldn't hear. As I've understood the sign language is also different in each country. But as the song is in English...does UK people understand too? (I can hear, so I'm not that much informed about everything)
For us (mostly) will this seem quite funny, but for the people who couldn't hear it is really helpful (I guess). And I'm so happy that Sweden isn't thinking only for the people who have had luck to born healthy. And I'm glad everyone could watch Melodifestivalen.
This also shows how important are the lyrics!

It escapes me as to why deaf people would tune into a music show for the songs. Fair enough if it's for the spectacle and performances but...can anyone enlighten me? :?

I don't know the answer for this. But if SVT is doing this, then there is surely wide viewing audience. Even though probably it can be seen only through internet.
