Just kidding, very tired of the swedish trolling around about the danish song. Even the famous SVT inför eurovision programm was trolling about it. I guess I cannot blame those who do, it must be frustrating not performing well in the ESC and their neighbours do, for such a big ESC loving nation : p

Because he can't sing. MF need to change the rules till next year. As long as backing vocals are not allowed in Eurovision, it's just stupid to allow it in MF because in Eurovision they can't rely on that any longer. But as a song I'd rather have this winning than the pretentious French stuff though...

I also think it's pretentious and uppity. Especially the singer. He seems way too confident and cocky. The song is good, but the singer and his performance seems really pompous.

But anyways, this thread is about Sweden, and I think Eric will pass to the finals, but not do that well.

I just realized that we're f*cked this year too. Kempe's the songwriter! We've got no chance with the jury! This is getting depressing. I for one still want Björkman off the show. He annoys me so much it's not even funny anymore. And these songwriters are all crap. Especially Kempe. Damn. I guess the best thing is to stay optimistic...

Interesting to see FallenAngelII doing everything in his power to make us look bad in here aswell. That's an original way to support your country I guess..

I mean I'm not very fond of the song, but I won't dig up every dirt to make it look bad though when it's actually by far not one of the worst songs and atleast deserves a spot in the final.

Perhaps you are talking about the final and not the semi. All Kempe songs have passed in the past, even with a wild card from the jury.

Have I missed something, why are they hating on Kempe? The one song that didn't qualify, Anna Bergendahl's, wasn't Kempe.

Anna should have qualified if it weren't for those lame juries.. but Perelli (Kempe song) got a jury wildcard in 2008 remember? It wasn't that liked by the public.

It doesn't really matter who qualified or not, I agree that Kempe's songs are dated and kitschy and I'd take Anna any day over the Kempe entries.

Well in the end not what is talked in here will count,we could see it tonight.I respect every opinion but everything has a limit..like anyone knows for real what it is between the 2 of them.

Why would I support Eric Saade just because he's the Swedish representative? He does not represent me. I did not vote for him. I hate everything that his entry stands for.

The notion that one always has to support one's own country's entry is stupid.

Because it represents my country and I hate it, I want it to fail spectacularly. So that at least the juries in the Swedish national final will finally learn their lesson and stop sending crap like "Popular" to Eurovision.

The only thing that's good about the entry is the choreography. That's it. Weak vocals, weak song, idiotic lyrics, gimmicky stage show. He can dance. But that's all he can do.

Firstly I never said Eric was a "sweet" kid, I find hist personality annoying but it's STILL just a song contest and not a personality contest.

No, you don't have to support it because it's Swedish (believe me I hate that kind of blind nationalism aswell)... but you are with a passion doing everything to make it look bad though. If it's the case you just dislike the entry, then why not doing that for ALL entries you dislike? Dig up every dirty article you can find etc. and post it here? Well I don't see you do that.

Well I don't HATE the Swedish entry. I think it's pretty catchy, it's far from worst and of course I'd love to see it go well for Sweden for once.
I'm just tired of the lack of new idea's and that we produce the same uninteresting schlager every year. No one in Sweden listens to schlager music or even see it as real music, and that's because it's not. It's just written to participate in this competition and there are definitely better and more interesting things released in Sweden every year.
I dislike Kempe's music because it's obvious these songs mean nothing.
Even if it was going well in ESC I'd still be tired of it. Nothing original and you know just what to expect when you turn Melodifestivalen on every year. Same kind of generic music year after year after year...it's boring. Very boring. So I suggest that they bring in some new songwriters to make this whole thing more fresh, new etc.
I didn't even watch MF this year. Didn't care. ESC is very interesting to me though.
