>>> Statistics Update! <<<

Beside a classical on-track ranking for the latest five editions I've also created an On Track 2021 ranking!

I will summarize some of the results, especially highlighting the users who improved in 2021.

It is the first sheet you should see when you click on the documents link. Most noteworthy are the formidable placements of Mike (3rd) and Journalist (6th). Before 2021, Journalist were mediocrely successful at best but last year he made impressive progress. Mike was already successful before 2021 but it still came as a surprise seeing him on 3rd position. Also for Nicholas (9th) 2021 was a fantastic year with some respectable results, even though he is still waiting for a win.

In the same sheet on the right side there is a ranking of users with the biggest improvement based on the difference between each user's average rank in 2021 and average rank overall. By far the biggest improvement was achieved by Charly whose 2021 average place is around 13 places better than his overall average place. The majority of users got a better 2021 average than overall average. This is partly because in earlier years there were editions with up to 70 participants or even more, so back then you could easily damage your average place with flop results.

Below the On track ranking there are some more short stats:
The user with the most Top 10 results in 2021 was Ashley (10). Most noteworthy for me: Mario on 3rd place with 7 Top Tens!
The user with the most Top 3 results was my humble self (4).
The are three users that won the WV twice in the last year: Mike, Luis and Ben (JamieBrown). The latter one sadly left WV, but hopefully not forever. Nobody won more than twice.
There are also two countries/regions that won twice: :kant: and  . Kanto did it with different jurors though, which is more impressive.

EDIT: In the 2021 On Track ranking I only included users who took part in at least half of the last years editions

In the history of Vision which is World

I DID NOT VOTE FOR @RainyWoods.

It is a shock, I know. In my...character-building semi and the...character-building final, he did actually get shortlisted, but it did not happen. Our unending streak comes to an end. Something Wicked this way will have to come so the inverse streak can also end.

and we still ended up with 51% similarity

And so it has cometh to pass I'd say
The day we feard was nigh
Shall henceforth be behind and nay
Tis no great fortune to Kai
As hell hath frozen over we can
Make out an awful sigh
As now there was no stopping, this man
Had milkless tea to try

I guess it's time for @RainyWoods to tighten these ties by sending HAIRDRESSER

There is never an inappropriate time for sending that multi-movement symphony. I was just thinking about it the other day in the context of the fast portion/slow portion/fast portion rule of thumb for figure skating programs.
What the actual hell is this witchcraft? Happened literally the moment I read your post and then exited the topic.

Get that off my screen.
