I would also like to thank everyone who entered this contest; it was a delight to hear you all and I'm really glad you overcame your fears and misgivings to treat us all with your performances xlove I truly deserve last place because I didn't have the guts to actually sing as the rest of you did but I hope you enjoyed (despite the slurping) my little video if nowt else :)

And finally thanks to Gabe for hosting this edition and managing to persevere despite the forum's best efforts to thwart him! xcheer

Congrats, Anna!! Very well done!!xcheer

And Merlin's beard, 4TH PLACE for my amateurish voice?? That was very overwhelming for me. Anyway, thank you so much for supporting me!xhugxheart

(And btw, my voice still needs some training in order for me to become a contestant to any singing contest.)

Oh! Before we close the book on this, I'll just say how much fun it was to take part in and listen to this spinoff. Voting wasn't fun, but the rest of it sure was; never stop singing - y'all are a talented bunch xheart

Thank you so much for the pointsxheart Three 12s and two 10s! Means a lotxrose I was weirdly kind of nervous recording this and then sharing it here. For the past couple of years I haven't felt it in me to write or sing anything. My problem is my complete lack of confidence and singing in front of people. Pushing myself to do this again though was the right thing. To come 2nd behind only Anna is an amazing feeling. A big congratulations to her. Singing the most achingly beautiful Loreena Mckennitt song (Steph's iconic silver finish at the main contest, my 12 there as wellxheart). Such a delicate, sincere and haunting voice you have. Tis an honour to finish behind you Anna.

It was hard choosing my 12 though as Calvin's was just as beautiful and even more wonderfully raw. Another really special song as well, one I wanted you to send to the main contest so bad! The fact you play piano as well so beautifully. Such a unique voice.

Carrie gave a surprisingly emotional performance, again really sincere and the tone of your voice is gorgeous. It was the perfect choice for your voice. I actually thought you might have had a shot at winning this.

Steph's was a great surprise. Loved the fact it was in Japanese and your timing was on point. I really enjoyed it and listening back to your other covers, you continue to improve so much. A fantabulous effortxheart

Ringdalen, all I can say is GOAT POWER! What a delightful performance of your fave ESC song of 2016! A tonne of fun and exuding your usual charm and warmth as always.

Eulaliya, I think you gave probably the most enthusiastic performance of all, and it was a pleasure to listen to. You have a lovely voice, and it's going to keep on getting better and better. I really enjoyed it.

Dutchball you had the most creative performance. It was shocking in a good way I think. I wasn't expecting the vocoder style vocals but it made your performance different and quirky. For some reason in my head I was envisioning you performing this at some fabulous Eurovision National Final with backing dancers:lol:

A charming performance from Aigars. The song was beautiful and just like something you'd send to the main game.

Salmon with the cool, shockingly deep voicexheat I feel bad I only gave this a couple of points but it was difficult to rank the songs.

Fun performance from aja675 of the Kylie Minogue classic. One of the very few upbeat song selections here, as most of us strangely went for quite bleak or sad songs:lol:

Robert.... well what can I say, you are the king of hoovering. If this was Hoovervision then 12 no doubt for sure from me. Your video made me laugh, I loved it. It did bring a big smile to my face. You made things too easy for me though with handing out that dreaded 0 that we all had to choose. As much as I had fun with your video, I think it would have been a bit insulting if I gave your entry points over all the people who actually chose songs and braved singing them for us, especially as I already felt bad about having to give out the lower points. Even with a few seconds of super hot humming I just didn't have the heart to put someone who actually sung a song for us below your entry. 10/10 though for that humour. You are a comic genius my friend.

Kai, that is so lovely to hear from you. xlove I cannot sing for toffee, but I'm pleased I can amuse anyhow :) Not insulted at all by any of the zeroes anyone gave me at all for very much the reason you outlined. Hoovervision is definitely an idea I wished I'd suggested; we'll have to do it for the 71st Spinoff ;)

Oh WOW thank you so much guys!! :D xlove xhug xrose xheart For your points and for your wonderfully kind comments and words of encouragement. It truly means everything when you're as passionate about singing as I am. This song is so incredibly special to me, that I had to record it. xlove Despite having won a few of these karaoke spin-offs (albeit not all) in the past, I never take it for granted and I truly thought Kai or Calvin had it in the bag with their awesome, genuine performances! xbow

I love the karaoke spin-offs so much. Not because I tend to do well in them, but the fact that we get to listen to everyone's courageous and creative performances. It makes it so much more personal than any other spin-off or contest. I can't say I enjoy voting in the karaoke spin-offs, though. It's always heartbreaking having to rank people's efforts, since they're all awesome in their own way. I felt really bad leaving Robert without a point, especially since I really enjoyed the humor and creativity behind the effort, but my reasoning was similar to Kai's. xrose

Thank you so much Gabe for your excellent hosting, especially hosting through the greatest forum crash we've ever witnessed! xbow

And now for the individual thanks!

(A very belated) congratulations, Anna! :D I can’t say this victory was unexpected, but it was deserved nonetheless.

Thank you lot for not making me come last, especially to Ringdalen for those very out-of-nowhere twelve points! xheart

Mine will be called "Eulaliya's Rain of Revolution" featuring my covers of Fusedmarc's ESK song and various other ESK and Melfest faves, including one bonus track of a haunting ballad in Tagalog language. It will be released probably before the end of the year or early 2018, so brace yourselves for it! xheat
