Llegó la mami
La reina, la dura, una Bugatti
El mundo está loco con este party
Si tengo un problema, no es monetary
Yo vuelvo loquito’ a todos los daddies
Yo siempre primera, nunca secondary
Apenas hago doom, doom
Con mi boom, boom
Y le tengo dando zoom, zoom
Por Miami

Y no se confundan
Señora’ y señore’
Yo siempre ‘toy ready
Pa’ romper cadera’, romper corazones
Solo existe una
No hay imitaciones (Na, na)
Y si aún no me crees, pues me toca mostrárselo

Take a video
Watch it slo mo, mo, mo, mo, mo
Booty hypnotic
Make you want more, more, morе, more, more
Voy a bajarlo hasta el suеlo, lo, lo, lo, lo (Yeah)
If you wish, you could do this dembow (Do this dembow)
Drives you loco (Yeah)
Take a video, watch it slo mo

Te gusta todo lo que tengo
Te endulzo la cara en jugo de mango
Se te dispara cuando la prendo
Hasta el final, yo no me detengo
Take a sip of my cola-la
Un poco salvaje na-na-na
Make it go like pa-pa-pa-pa
Like pa-pa-pa-pa-pa

Y no se confundan (Y no se confundan)
Señora’ y señore’
Yo siempre ‘toy ready (Yo siempre estoy ready)
Pa’ romper cadera’, romper corazone’
Solo existe una (Solo existe una)
No hay imitaciones (Na, na, na)
Y si aún no me crees, pues me toca mostrárselo (Oye)

Take a video
Watch it slo mo, mo, mo, mo, mo
Booty hypnotic
Make you want more, more, more, more, more
Voy a bajarlo hasta el suelo, lo, lo, lo, lo
If you wish, you could do this dembow (Do this dembow)
Drives you loco (Yeah)
Take a video
Watch it slo mo, mo, mo, mo, mo
Booty hypnotic
Make you want more, more, more, more, more
Voy a bajarlo hasta el suelo, lo, lo, lo, lo

Hmm it`s not that unusual for Spanish entries to be overrated by fans and to a lesser degree by the odds. (similar to UK btw) Looking at one of the bigger meta fan polls and eurovisionworld/this lovely article by escextra:

2007: D`NASH were 15th in the odds and 4th in the poll - Ended up 20th
2009: Soraya was 12th and 2nd - Ended up 24th
2015: Edurne was 12th and 5th - Ended up 21st
2016: Barei was 10th and 9th - Ended up 22nd
2019: Miki was 14th and 15th - Ended up 22nd

Even Pastora in 2012 and Ruth in 2014 were more or less overrated beforehand.
So yea, I wouldn`t be surprised to see Spain finish (much) lower than fans expect right now. Can`t leave your bottom 5 buddies Germany and UK standing in the rain, ma dudes. The Unholy Trinity shall survive
Chanel is 5th in the odds and first/second in most polls. That’s way better than the ones you mentioned above. I don’t expect her to end up in top 5, I’ve said that many times. I just think some people just take for granted that Spain will end up in bottom 5 just because they dislike the song, which I think is your case.

Anyway, time will tell!

Seeing the "hype" around this one is ... uh let`s say interesting?
Hope people are prepared for a car crash because no way in hell this will end up anywhere near the top 10. Who is supposed to vote for it en masse? The juries? With those vocals? The public? Sure, because they just love plastic pop ... not.
With a bit of luck it might end up outside of the bottom 5 but I wouldn`t bet on it.
This is not very appropriate from a German, since neither the proposal nor I suppose its staging stands out.

Why would it be inappropriate for me to share my thoughts on here? Because the entry from my country happens to be garbage? This forum would be awfully quiet if we‘d applied such rule lmao.

I hope you're not suggesting that the ability to evaluate a song isnt dependent on nationality because thats a bit yikes
No i´m talking that it´s not appropriate for a reason:
The purpose of Germany this year its so bland.

I really think that Spain deserves a good placing this year ( and its a country that sometimes is getting robbed, Miki for example should have done better -I will blame that huge creepy muppet xfaint, and although Pastora had a decent placing, she deserved higher -that performance is still iconic! ) but I dont think SloMo is special enough to win.
Dont think juries will destroy its chances for a great placing, it has qualities they will appreciate but staging/outfits will play an important role in this, has to look classy+expensive+sharp+sexy and not only sexy.

She deserves to be in the Top 5 with that performance and song. I can even see her as a winner and she and Spain would deserve that, too. Her performance is definitely going to be a moment. SloMo has become my favorite song of the year and makes me excited for summertime.

So RTVE organised a farewell party for Chanel. Is this something new or has been done in the past with other artists.

I think the new Spanish Head of Delegation is doing a great job promoting and supporting their representative, let’s hope they continue to do so and all the work is rewarded with a good placing in the Final, this will encourage more quality artists getting involved with Eurovision and hopefully boost Benidorm Festival as well (with some corrections in their format)

Okay, so the rehearsals start tomorrow (a bit later for the big 5) and apart from this forum (which seems to participate people with more "alternative" taste), Chanel is leading the main big polls online (escstats, escnation and my eurovision scoreboard). At least we can prove that this time it has not been pushed by Spanish fans but the rest, which is a good sign. The OGAE worked pretty well as well, and a top 5 in the betting odds is something I could have never imagined one year ago.

After having said all that, I am aware of the risk of sending this kind of pop songs in Eurovision, as they haven't done really well in Eurovision in the past years (with the exception of Eleni), and I really hope this will be an exception as well. For me, as a Spanish fan (Germans and British will understand what I mean), I really want to see Spain doing really well, recieve votes from most of the countries and have a fun night (and not end up let down with a depressing night all over again).

Will this win? This sure won't. There are other songs that are more appealing for a general european viewer (Sweden, Netherlands or Italy for example). Then we have Ukraine, which we all know they will burn the televote for (whatever) reason it is. Also Poland has probably the best live vocals of the whole contest, and I am sure juries will appreciate that. On the other hand, let's speak about televote lovers: Norway and Serbia will actually make it very high I think, but I am not sure how much support they will get from the juries. Will the televote support them enough to sneak into the top 10? Probably yes.

Let's not forget about Spaceman. Sam Ryder is an excellent vocalist, and his charisma is out of this world. I know the juries will give him support (dunno yet how much), but I wouldn't be surprised either if the televote is high for them as well.

The rest of the countries that sneak into the top 10 will be very disputed I think. In the case of Spain, and that's my last statement before the rehearsals, I predict a similar support from both sides, far from bad, but far from exceptional. Will we pass the barrier of the 100 points? Of course we will. Will we pass the barrier of 200 points? I'm not so sure about that.

Having said all that, my final prediction for Spain is between 7th and 12th place. I wish I could see her higher, but I take that as a huge step forward to the right direction, and a proof that Benidorm Fest has been one of the best national finals of the season regardless all the drama (Spanish drama) that has been created around.

Good luck Chanel, you gave us some illusion back this year, so thank you for that :)

Sapin will easily get 200pts in the end. I could see a 3rd-8th place with the juries and 3rd-8th place with the televote, with a final result between 4th and 7th at the lowest.

I think that Spain is really difficult to predict. I can totally see it finishing inside the lower Top 10 as well as the upper Bottom 5 - it really just depends on Europe´s mood and perception of the act/performance.
Chanel is a great performer/dancer and we don´t have many female-led up-tempo songs + the song feels authentic and this can work in Spain´s favor but I wouldn´t be mad at Europe not voting for it, either.

Personally, I think that 4/5 Big 5 countries deserve to perform well this year but who knows...

Personally, I can't imagine Chanel placing any lower than 10th. I predict Italy, Sweden or Ukraine will win this year, but I think this will be the highest placed non-ballad song after Ukraine.
