I tried to like it but I just can’t. This will be one of the few years I don’t support my country.

That's a pity and clearly not the best way to follow Eurovision. I hope that the German entry will be good this year because I haven't supported our entry since 2016. Actually, 2017-2019, Germany were part of my bottom 5 haha

When it comes to Spain, it's my favourite Spanish entry since 2012/2014, for sure.

I can’t imagine not supporting your own because of this entry. It’s a decent enough song and I don’t think the singer is a massive douche so what gives?

I feel that people are too critical about this song. It's really not that bad. Actually, it's not bad at all, it's good. His pretty face, vocal and potentially good staging will be helpful either.
Imo it should end in top 15 easily but since it's SPAIN, I have to be careful about my prognosis. 😂

I like it from first listening and it's still in my top 3. 🤷

Sorry, but that´s one of the most stupid arguments I´ve ever heard. Why on earth should I support a song I really don´t like just because the singer is "hot"?? xfacepalm
Because you want to look at them more often and make them happy so they smile etc and become even more enchanting? Pretty obvious reasons I would argue.

Where did I say that anyone should support him because he's hot? xbored

If you don't like song, fine, everyone has different taste. His look won't change your opinion and that's fine.

I'm just saying that it can be helpful in some cases, generally speaking. He seems like funny, cute dude and someone might give him a vote based on that. Or because of his vocal. Or because of good staging (let's not pretend that it's not big factor on ESC).

Why should someone have to support their own country? I only supported my country in 2013, 2014 and 2019. The other years I adopted another country to support. Isn't that what it all should be about? Instead of rooting for your own by default?

Sorry, but this is still the "Eurovision Song Contest", if the song crap the artist can be as charming and "good looking" as possible, that doesn´t help.

Most people like supporting their own country. Blahblah nationalism, imagined communities, global citizenship etc, discussion won’t have a winner. If you don’t feel any need to support your own country that’s fine.

I agree that it's SONG contest after all. But we're not speaking only about you but whole esc community.

You don't give a fuck about him and nothing will change your opinion about this song but someone else who like him as a artist or as a charming dude from interviews... these are the ones who might give him a vote, even if they're not the biggest fans of the song. I've already see it many times before.
And let's not even start about good staging, many crap songs end on the left side of the table just because of that.

And speaking of that, it can be HELPFUL for him to avoid terrible result. Vote here, vote there... and here you go. 💁

I don't think the average voter will know him from interviews though... It is all about how he looks and comes across on stage. That could use some work from my perspective.

Edit: I would like to support my country too, but not when I dislike the song or artist.

I couldn’t do it twice. Couldn’t support The Toppers and Trijntje Oosterhuis. Both of them were oblivious about what Eurovision actually was, both sent a crap song and basically they were seemingly just in it for the exposure.

Oh, people will vote just because someone is hot. It didn't happen once.

But whatever, it's irrelevant, that's why I mention staging as a big factor, way bigger than someone's look.
*I mean, let's pretend that they'll have good staging because I see good potential based on official video* ... but since it's *Spain*, I won't speak before I see it. xfaint

It's fine, I didn't support my country either when it's bad song.
But as I said, I still have feel that people are too critical about Spain... it's not really that bad. Sometimes I feel like a weirdo because I like it (only song, not him). 🤔

Well, he's beautiful guy with beautiful voice. ❤

He's definitelly my ESC2020 crush, after Mahmood from last year. 🙈

Ok Blas, I think that I find your boyfriend. It wasn't easy since there are zero information on web but only one *hint* was enough to figure it out. And it's sooooo obvious.
I don't know if it's "public secret" in Spain since it looks like that spanish media are ignoring it or they're just not interested in it but whatever... I can dig anything, when I want it. xangel

At the beginning, I wasn't so sure what to think about him... well, safe to say that my gaydar is broken. Alright. xcookie
