I tried to like it but I just can’t. This will be one of the few years I don’t support my country.

Most recent one was 2018...Which entries / years did you support Spain?
But hey, it's helpful.
Good staging and good looking guy is always bonus on esc.
Because you want to look at them more often and make them happy so they smile etc and become even more enchanting? Pretty obvious reasons I would argue.Sorry, but that´s one of the most stupid arguments I´ve ever heard. Why on earth should I support a song I really don´t like just because the singer is "hot"??
Why should someone have to support their own country? I only supported my country in 2013, 2014 and 2019. The other years I adopted another country to support. Isn't that what it all should be about? Instead of rooting for your own by default?I can’t imagine not supporting your own because of this entry. It’s a decent enough song and I don’t think the singer is a massive douche so what gives?
Where did I say that anyone should support him because he's hot?
If you don't like song, fine, everyone has different taste. His look won't change your opinion and that's fine.
I'm just saying that it can be helpful in some cases, generally speaking. He seems like funny, cute dude and someone might give him a vote based on that. Or because of his vocal. Or because of good staging (let's not pretend that it's not big factor on ESC).
Most people like supporting their own country. Blahblah nationalism, imagined communities, global citizenship etc, discussion won’t have a winner. If you don’t feel any need to support your own country that’s fine. Why should someone have to support their own country? I only supported my country in 2013, 2014 and 2019. I don't think the average voter will know him from interviews though... It is all about how he looks and comes across on stage. That could use some work from my perspective.I agree that it's SONG contest after all. But we're not speaking only about you but whole esc community.
You don't give a fuck about him and nothing will change your opinion about this song but someone else who like him as a artist or as a charming dude from interviews... these are the ones who might give him a vote, even if they're not the biggest fans of the song. I've already see it many times before.
And let's not even start about good staging, many crap songs end in high places just because of that.
And speaking of that, it can be HELPFUL for him to avoid terrible result.
I couldn’t do it twice. Couldn’t support The Toppers and Trijntje Oosterhuis. Both of them were oblivious about what Eurovision actually was, both sent a crap song and basically they were seemingly just in it for the exposure.Edit: I would like to support my country too, but not when I dislike the song or artist.
