People, I can't agree with you. Yep, Lucía was awesome, and the whole performance was good enough to get a better place, but... the song was a crap. We only have to look at the composer, a man who got a bottom place in 2006 with Andorra (in the semi-final!!). Lucía didn't even like the song, she said in the national pre-selection that she preferred a ballad, with which she felt much more comfortable.
The problem with Spain is that we have a horrible television who doesn't know that Eurovision has changed, and still wants to send songs that would have worked 10 years ago, not now (well, 2010 maybe was an exception). And, like last year, we have a jury that tends to sink our songs. After the first semi-final, when we all saw the elimination of Norway (a song with a very similar style), we could imagine what would happen. It was a chronicle of a death foretold
Personally I am much more angry for the last place of Switzerland than for the number 23 of Spain. When you do the things wrong (by TVE, not Lucía), you can not expect a better place.
