I've heard the song was originally entitled: "Dull As Dishwater". Don't know why they changed it for "Blue And Red"
I heard that they originally wanted to add more colors and have the chorus consist entirely of tautological statements in the style of its first line but that they were told to edit down by the Danish School of Dull Songwriting.

Good lord, you're slipping! Something I actually agree with here! Yes, for me results are less important. Obviously I want songs I like to do well, but I'm never going to think less of a favourite if it does badly (c.f. my favourite of 2015; Hope Never Dies)

Anyway, last year I discovered the word "oximated" and this year I've ended up knowing what blue and red are... I mean, I can't follow all those intellectual songs. This is too much for me, Eurovision did change a lot. Where are the meaningless songs when I need some?

However I do think that this song is quite underrated. It's indeed not very literary but it's nice I think.
