Not that bad... Has some good moments, but it's too rock for my taste. The guy has nice voice. 4 points. I don't think it can pass the semi-final, though.

The Slovak public broadcaster presented the entry for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest: Max Jason Mai will represent the Central European country in Baku with Don't Close Your Eyes!
A young and talented star will represent Slovakia this year in the Eurovision Song Contest: Max Jason Mai (MJM) was born on November 27th, 1988, and he is a rock musician, singer-songwriter and rhythm guitarist.
He describes himself as someone who "loves people with a sense of humour and the good things in life", like music, sports, yoga, love, and nature. Talking about his music, he cites influeces by a wide range of artists, like Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake, Alter Bridge, 30 Seconds To Mars, Dream Theater, Metallica, John Mayer, Enigma, Sade, Ennio Morricone, and even Antonin Dvorak.
In Baku, Max Jason Mai will sing Don't Close Your Eyes, the music and lyrics of which he wrote himself. The song has been produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, and right now the official video clip is being shot - it will be presented later this week.

God, Slovakia is not my fave country in Eurovision. As matter of fact, I never liked their entries. (Their song last year was cool, but it's not my cup of tea.) But this year... God, they made a good decision!
I love rock, and I'm glad to listen some rock in the festival. Even if the songs reminds me to Belarus 2009, this is different. And the guy has nice voice! I hope he can make it to the finals.

It´s difficult for me to rate this song. In some parts I like it, in other not. So I rate in the middle. 6 points.

I think with a good performance Slovakia might make it through to the final given what is competing in the first semi.
I agree, not many Rock Songs (especially in Semi 2) so I'm slightly optimistic

It's a great rock song, and I hope Slovakia goes through this year to the final, but I think there are better songs than this.

I find the video weird, this can't be the final video or?
It's a video filmed in a video film-setting, not the actual result of the set.
But how can we compare the other entries to this rock song? It's so unique. I don't think there are better entries than this one. It's just a matter of taste here: who likes rock music and who don't. This is flawless on its own league. I hope juries support it and also rock fans. xguitar I want it in the final for a more diversified show.

One of my top 5 songs. I wish i could see it in the final, they deserve it. but we already know it will be a battle of ex URSS vs Ex Yugoslavia.

And yes, it could very well be the final version. Still a breath of fresh air in a contest so full of ballads and crappy joke acts.
