LakZaNokte but that rumor says that we did not get jury points and got to final thanks to televote which to me means we should get more televotes in Croatia than Željko, Kaliopi and even Loreen and same thing to Serbia and Macedonia while still getting less points due to jury not liking our song and not giving it any points. Which then means that we had to get more points from around Europe with condition that its not from juries but from televoting which I find strange as our song is not televote friendly.

At the same time according to that blog Malta went different route and got into final thanks to jury vote as they did not get much televote support. Maltese song is mid/up tempo that should be televote friendly and there should not be many reasons for juries to vote or prefer it as neither song or performance were all that great (no offense intended to Malta).

for start: I was under impression that jury + televote (both from 1 country) = points from that country.
now it turns out that it jury (from every1) + televoting (from every1) = points for certain country.

or did I miss something here? xwhat

yeah, but how can some1 pass thanks to only jury (or only televote) then?

I don't get it xthink
I think what they mean by it is that X entry qualified to the final thanks mostly to either jury points or televote points, i.e. the other side didn't give them many points, but one side gave them so much points they scraped by.

"Thanks to jury" means jury gave much more points than televoters and helped that country to finish in top 10 (in total points). Vice versa.

well, BiH could have received good votes from already mentioned Croatia and Serbia (no doubt about that), Slovenia and Macedonia, as well as even Turkey and Germany who also voted yesterday.
just saying it's not impossible at all.
besides, Maya's performance was very touching and intimate. those can easily be audience-friendly (anywhere)

I have to disagree, Malta's performance was surprisingly good while the song isn't.

Don't forget the Scandinavian diaspora. :)

Turkey 2nd? This is very weird!

Not a big surprise at if it's real results. As far as I heard from some leaks, Turkey is also one of the best of jury votes for semi 2. Anyway we will see all of them after final.

I'll cross fingers for UK at grand final. ESC, be fair and let UK win.

I always feel I have some sense about what the audience likes and dislikes but these events turn my world (view) upside down. In a rather harsh way :(.

I am sorry that NL failed. She was ok.

The elemination of NL, IMO, was nothing political. Before live performance of NL in semi 2, it was my candidate for top 10. But during performance, unfortunately, she was really bad, had lots of tuning problems. I also excluded NL from my list for semi 2 with that reason although her song was nice and lovely.

Our commentator said that we finished 17th. The only country that was placed below Slovenia was Slovakia.

But I'm still waiting for the official full table on eurovision.tv, even though I'm pretty sure that it's true.

I was shocked for two days that we didn't qualify, as everyone had us as a sure qualifier :( then this... god knows what happened... Eva was singing really well :(
