On the subjects of BAD lyrics:

"C'mon boys, C'mon girls in this crazy crazy world" <- just EEW.. can it be more cheesy?
"When I was little girl my grandma told me..."
"na na na na na na na na" (Switzerland)

Although, I think both Estonia and Sweden could flop tomorrow ;)
Estonia can, because she didn't sing well today. It was her weakest rehearsal.

I agree on Denmark & Norway until the Swahili part and would love to add Finland, Armenia and so on but we will talking about Estonia vs Sweden here. ;) I think Ireland's lyrics are just catchy. :)

Actually, and I'm being totally serious here... as a song.. the Irish one is less childish than both the Swedish and Estonian combined.. the ACT though makes it looks more childish than it actually is.

I mean it's not some mature masterpiece or anything, but it's a quite effective catchy pop song with some 80's mixed into it. Actually it's probably the most catchy song in whole Eurovision, and while the Estonian and Swedish lyrics just sucks, the Irish is kinda witty and tongue-in-cheek and works with the song and entry as a whole... it's not trying to act like it's something it's not (if you know what I mean?).

I mean the worst to me are acts that try to act like something else.

personal opinion of course...at least one out of esthonia, sweden and ireland wont sing for us on saturday

really hope that cyprus will make it (with such stage performance and good vocals will be unfair if they wont qualify) and also i hope for my beloved bulgarian entry this year

i used to remember a time when ireland sent a turkey to eurovision, and it was favourite to win its semi final, and one of the favourites to win. but alas it finished 13th in its semi and SUCKED.

De ja vu this year prehaps? Like honestly how is Ireland 2nd favourite to win Eurovision this year?

Songs that will definitley qualify: Estonia, Sweden, Ukraine, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Denmark, Moldova (its a fun song that will get plenty of televote, and I think the jury will like it)

The 4 other songs I think might get in: Cyprus (really deserves it for effort), Israel (Dana is well known), Slovenia, Austria.

Watch out for: Latvia

I still think Hungary narrowly made it because I don't think a high result is possible with that vocal performance...

although hungary being in my top 3,(prior the semi) itotally agree with u....their overall performance in semi 1 was bad ... :(

Ireland actually finished joint 15th with Andorra in 2008. But the performance was beyond terrible. Even the two ladies couldn't sing properly...

at least there are enough lovers, too ;) like me, i think jedward are aweeeesome! im singing the song all day long.
it is always better if a song is either hated or loved than if people find it so-so. was the case with lena last year as well, most people either loved her or hated her

Regarding the Ireland song: Haters gonna hate.

I agree, and I don't get it. People are really staring blindly at just the act, because if they just took their time listening to the song it's no way different than any other uptempo catchy pop song in Eurovision, as a matter of fact I find this even to be one of the best ones in its genre (way stronger than Estonia, Russia, Croatia and also Sweden)...

The comparison with Dustin the Turkey is unfair, because that whole song and act was just a mock at Eurovision, while the Jedward song is actually a REAL pop song and not just some pathetic statement.

Not worse than many others, anyways it's a song contest not singing contest ;)

Arh well then it is alright to be tonedeaf if the song is good? aha... Sad how low we are sinking... No wonder why a girl like Rebecca Black is mainstream music nowadays... Oh well back to listening to Queen :)
