I worry about next year... if she doesn't qualify it'll be a shame. I think she should leave it on a high note and let Michele Perniola have a go?

Please Valentina, let someone else have a chance!!! There are people in San Marino that should be given a chance to participate

He can't participate yet, I think. Will he bet 16 by May next year?

Someone was obviously really bored and edited Valentina's Wikipedia page (the last sentence):

Maaaaaaybbeeeee (said with a troll smile) = yes xyes

So see you next year Valentina. The only question is will the announcement be soon or will they drag it out until next year to build some suspense?

Valentina achieved her goal of taking San Marino to the Finals. While she didn't rule out a 4th participation I am really hoping we are going to see a fresh face in Austria.

If any of you get the chance, please have a listen to Valentina's song "Per Te" from her new album. I couldn't find it uploaded anywhere to share here. I don't think we are quite ready for Jazz yet (I predict that will be a few years from now) so this is the direction I suggest that Valentina takes next year. Melancholy ballad that could perhaps be compared to Sam Brown/Jamelia's "Stop". It's a bit of an RNB/Blues lament. Valentina's voice is incredibly strong throughout until the strings and piano fade as Valentina does a spoken word part which eventually leads into the most haunting "Ooooooo's" I think i've ever heard in my life. It kills me.

I'm glad "Maybe" was picked. It happened for a reason and was a success. I wish she had held this one back and went with it the year after though.

She's the queen of Eurovision but she should end it on a high. It'd be heartbreaking if her last participation was next year and she stayed out of the final once more xcry1

Yeah but she won't fail though. All she needs to do is enter something that is timeless as opposed to being from a certain era. Against all odds, she made it to the final this year with a Ralph Siegel composition that somehow managed to be even more old-fashioned than "Crisalide". A neoclassical ballad (Suus 2.0) seems like the next step or she could pull out the big guns and bring Jazz.

Well she should consider the risks of such an approach carefully before deciding. I believe she was announced very early last year but they should take some time in 2015.

Maybe we could have a new singer/group. I'm sure there are artists/groups that are talented and are eager to take part!

Third time was, indeed, a charm for Valentina. I think 4th time would be overkill.

There are hundreds of things I love about Valentina, but one thing that I especially like is that she's actually from San Marino. Obviously they're a small country and they've used Italian acts before I think (and for JESC they used an Italian boy) but Valentina is actually Sanmarinese, which is brilliant. If she HAD to go next year (I'd rather she stayed though, it feels like she's an important part of Eurovision for the fans who watch all the songs in advance and everything- it would feel empty without her) I'd want her to be replaced by someone else who is from San Marino, not Italy. I know the country is small, but there's got to be enough people there with talent. So for that reason I don't want Michele to represent them.

It was mentioned on here before maybe Valentina singing with her brother, that sounds like a great idea, if she wasn't willing/able to come back by herself, that duo would be awesome :D
It would be lovely if we didn't lose Valentina from our Eurovision lives yet, I know her leaving on a high might be good but even if she did enter next year and didn't make the final, at least she made it once, and that's great!

My sentiment exactly. She's a legend at this point. Probably the only one who's objectively achieved so little, lol. Still, there's no need to mess with that. Have her pop up every other year to announce SM's votes, perform at EICs and just remain fabulous.
