Yes, I think so. According to O' Connor it'll be something like a power ballad...

I wonder why it bothers so many people that there are a lot of ballads this year... I mean is there such a thing as "too many uptempo songs"? Why one always have to blame upon slow songs? I fail to understand that.

Because it makes a boring show to watch hours of slow songs. I don't know if I'll be able to get any of my friends to watch with me this year.

Ok, I guess boredom is what gets people annoyed. Does that mean uptempo songs are never boring? Just trying to understand if it's a binary pespective or the fact that entries aren't good enough.

In my case, at least, boredom doesn't come from having slow songs, but from having too many songs be the same. If two in every three songs were upbeat dance numbers, I'd be asking for more ballads!

For me it's not ballads per se, but so many entries belonging to one genre this year. This year is missing the variability and the balance between different music genres. If we would have the reversed situation and a whole bunch of dance songs or folk songs or bubble gum pop songs or whatever than I would be moaning "not another one of these again", too.

They look very nice on that picture. Maybe the theme is closely linked to the retro feel of their song.

It isn't genre, though. The songs with a slow tempo are quite varied in terms of genre and atmosphere, the fact that they are considered ballads in some capacity is the only thing that many of them have in common. You can't possibly say that Latvia, France and Cyprus are the same genre, for instance.

You are right with that. And we are lucky about it. Still it feels like different shades of one color to me. And music has so many different colors and of many other colors we only have very few shades this year.
