Actuallly the verses are not bad at all, the chorus is just annoying as heck. By far not the weakest song though.

The single on itunes comes with another song "I'll Follow the Sunshine". It's a light cheesy song which shows off her more jazzy side although it is a pop song still. I imagine thats their back up plan incase Eurovision does not accept the insanely epic "Facebook".

There is no way they're going to allow these lyrics, the whole song is just a straight up advert. Unless they've changed the rules seriously since Lotta Engberg wasn't allowed to sing Coca-Cola....

Not necessarily. That song seems to be written by Siegel aswell, and it's from Italy's neighbor Malta and didn't win there, maybe they could have picked it up for San Marino instead?

The video is from January 2011 though. If the song is not allowed then I bet they will just change the lyrics. I honestly can see them getting away with Facebook. Although I can't think of any at hand, im pretty sure we have had other brands mentioned in Eurovision songs before.

I already mentioned it yesterday: wouldn't it be much easier for San Marino to change the name and the lyrics a little bit, so that the entry can stay within the rules of EBU?

For example change Facebook into Fazebook

Or Phacebook. or Phasebook.

Or Vasebook.

They would also only need to redo the videoclip. Much easier than sending a complete new song.
