Chorus is good but verses are sorely lacking. If it wins, it won't be because of the song. I do expect them of course to make the stage show massive so I'm expecting top 5. But I don't think the juries will by it enough to give Sergey the win

oh dear. is this an attempt? is this russia trying hard to win? is this the russia that made ukraine poop themselves in public out of fear of them winning? is THIS what people hyped themselves (for better or for worse) for? really, russia? REALLY? are you just the new uk of the eurovision? REALLY???

don't get me wrong, i actually liked it. this is roko's the dream if it was good and properly sung and produced and with an actual melody. but still.... the dream, you guys. this is what russia thinks can win eurovision. not to mention there is no way sergey sustains the vocals on that chorus live and that the staging is surely going to be hammy as hell. like i am looking forward to it but... NOT WINNING. this is not the russia that got 5 top 10s in a row (three of them top 3, this is the russia that missed 3 top 10s in a row.

7 points and RUSSIA IS NOT WINNING. OFFICIALLY. the door is as wide open for everyone else as sergey's legs in a sling.

Hmmmmmm I don't know what tot think. It's really epic and good but I can't imagine it as an ESC winning entry at the moment.
It sounds like a song written for the sole purpose of staging it.
Especially the part when it's silent. They could put an amazing fairytale on stage.
8 points for the first listen but sure it's a grower and I'll make it a 12 during rehearsals period

That went a lot better than I was anticipating. I feared a Beautiful Mess moment but Scream has some charm to it. It does the whole epic thing, which usually isn't my bag but it's done very well and is kind of "aw bless" almost. You can tell from the music video what kind of vibe they were trying to create with the song here (fans of fantasy novels and shows will be happy I imagine). It is super hammy by default but I think Sergey just about gets away with it. I'm not into it as much as his previous entry but it's a nice comeback, and could certainly be a winner.

It's the performance that made Fuego almost win last year, yet people still totally rule some entries' chances out from the first listen. The song is very strong and is definitely still a candidate.

I don't get whole the Netherlands appeal! This is better, imo, but neither is winner.

With epic staging this could do a lot, maybe even win. Russians are good at making stagings as much as Swedes, if anything!
