Re: RUSSIA 2012

I LOVE this song:
Who's singing it? Pelageya?
(I also love Russian language!)
I would be happy if Russia sent a song like this one in Eurovision

Re: RUSSIA 2012

Not just Eric but all winners since Bilan

Though it's not something that those performers can be proud of, imo.

Bilan has to be the worst though (in the singing apartment).

I'm just grateful though that we didn't end up with some wailing mess as winner, It's still not Eurovision Singing Contest.

Anyways what's going on with Russia? Any rumors?

Don't know about this song in particular, but I hope they stick with Russian from now on. No need to prove anything any longer, just relax and send GREAT music and not some lame American rip-offs.

Wow that list seems really "rumor-ish".

I mean Dima again?

Quest Pistols, Vera, Svetlana are all Ukrainian acts... after the "drama" about a Ukrainian act representing them in 2009, we will see about that.

^ That list is a bs, I 'm not even gonna waste my time on quoting it.
also Quest Pistols are on tour in February-March but desperate yellow press just needs big names.
Doesn't matter that none of them will participate

Re: RUSSIA 2012

No irony?

Compared to the other winners for the past years he has to be the worst singer.. and overall he is a pretty bad live singer imo.
I've always thought of him as being a great singer, I've not heard him go off-key once I dont think. Im not keen on her but Marija 2007 is an amazing singer too, she's the only one who rivals him in terms of singing amongst the winners since 2000 - he's much better than the others imo! :p

And if Dima does Eurovision in 2012 I'll most likely be rooting for Russia to win again! :D If not Dima, then from that list Id say Sergey Lazarev but I thought he wasnt going to do Eurovision unless it was an internal selection? Or is it an internal selection between the artists on that list (sorry I've not been following this!)?

Could be an internal choice though? As long as they are free for Eurovision and perhaps maybe one evening for local selection.

@Adam. Lazarev is not interested in Eurovision.
Even if he will be chosen internally (which never happens... rather from Ukraine, lol) he said that he is going to think about it.

I liked Dima in 2006, but he never came across as a good live singer though? I dunno..

I really hope he won't enter again, he already won and came 2nd... it's really time for someone else to represent Russia imo. He did his part and I highly doubt he has any plans on enter again.

Sergey could be ok, he got the looks and he has a decent live voice.. his main problem is lack of strong material, but maybe for Eurovision they'd give him a good enough song?

ORT usually selects internally.
RTR - always NFs ;)

ORT "outed" RTR a lil' bit saying that next year it will be the NF.

Oh ok... well bring on the grandmas then!! lol

I don't really know what acts that are even interested in taking part in Eurovision for Russia, let alone compete for the ticket to go there?

Seems like all popular acts have zero interest in this.

It is a shame because I think he's a good singer and like A-lister said, if he was given strong material he could potentially do very well!

Okay fair enough, he did come across to me as a brilliant singer in 2006 and 2008 though! I know some people dont like him for who is (I dont know why, I dont think he's done anything wrong?) and he got some boos in 2008, but I dont think anyone can say he's a bad singer, even if he's not your favourite ;).
I think that he would like to enter again himself; he was supposed to this year wasnt he (or was that the year before)? Im glad he didnt as it turns out cuz the song was bad and Id rather he go with a good song and get a great result. I think the trouble would be if the Russian broadcaster wants to have him again!

My dream is to see Hurts and Lazarev @ our selection
1 gathers huge venues and another one basically moved here (+ involved in 2 TV projects as a host and as a juror) As for Russia - he was involved in 1 project by ORT (as a singer). He even won there )))
Soooo.... maybe in 2013.
