There are 50.000 Russians living in Spain and my country could vote in this semi.

Anyhow, well done Peter, you so deserve it :D

Finnish culture has been pretty much influenced by Russian and for some unknown reason, I reckon Serbia & Greece always give points to Russia.
bs. I'd say vice versa. Russian-Finnish border areas were influenced by Finnish culture.

I may be the only person on this forum but I'm kinda glad Russia qualified. It's a simple but honest song and it just brings back childhood memories of my late grandmother. Congratulations Russia!

That's touching, Matt, but it doesn't make it a good song. I find it irritating personally. You know they totally took Finland's place (either them or Belarus...or Bosnia & Herzegovina)! Okay, you know what, I don't care anymore! :D

The fact that I think it's a good song makes it a good song TO ME!!!

And I think Moldova or Belarus took Finland's place

I agree. Russia's song is not bad. It's not your standard Eurovision song, but it is nevertheless a pleasant old-fashioned one.

Belarus' song on the other hand was pretentious, their gimmick with the wings was stupid... And don't get me started with the Moldovian porno on the stage...

Sad that Finland didn't go through.

I loved Russia this year. Not because the song is beautiful or old-fashioned or anything. But because of the irony and the humor of the song, the guys and the whole act. :D

The lyrics and the way he sings makes me giggle.

40% of Estonian population are ethnic Russians.
Only 25,5% Estonian residents are Russians but yeah... Russia only gets points from us because of the Russians. I think the same goes for Latvia.

Slovakia should have get in the final instead this. It's nice but if it gets in top 10 Eurovision sucks.

I think a lot of people have missed the point with this song. I, along with other late-30-year-olds (and up) would have preferred Russia to win with this song than the exaggerated Dima Bilan and his abundant collection of white clothes.

It's honest, it's got a melody you can't forget and there are no silly gimmicks involving semi-naked dancers or wings (what is it with all the #### wings this year :?: :?: :!: :!: ).

I think Russia's song gives lycra an elbow, shows that superficial choreographical stunts aren't required and has confirmed Eurovision is still a SONG contest! :)

This is a song... Are you kidding me?! Some bleating sheep and the melody...somebody that has drank a lot has probably composed it... Doubt it'll do well in the final. IMO, the sense of humour is lame.

I guess for some their humour doesn't fit the others, but insulting is not a very nice thing to do.
