Yes, that must be the reason surely. But everyone knows how damaging that can be, especially for a winner's chances. It can never win now :(

But still don't get it. Why two breaks shortly after each other? Why not Sweden in #13 and just have one break before?

Maybe because Sweden already had the 13th slot last year.

I know you're pissed for France's #2 and you've every reason to be, especially when France's performance was building up so nicely to a very good result. That staging is truly outstanding. Still it was ever hardly a contender to win, so it can't damage you that much.

So what?? Then why two breaks so close each other?

So what?? Did you forget the draw wasn't random anymore?
Allocating the same country to this place would not be fair, that's all.

What are you talking about?

It will be only 1 break, after Austria. ;)

I guess so, and the hosts will come in after  and talk a little bit while they are rigging our performance on the stage (like Eldar did after Loreen in 2012) ;)

Many countries are making add breaks there too anyway. Just read a report about it in eurovison ireland.

Are they even allowed to do so if it isn't a real break? I mean in a real break they know how long it will be and will start the stream again in time for next entry. But if it's the hosts that are talking in the prepare for Sweden's performance it's problaly not very long "break" and the broadcasters can miss when it starts again.

Also there's many broadcaster that show advertising which will bring money. There's must be rules for when they can do it.

Before the next song we go to two of our hosts while parts of Europe cut to adverts. No one’s asked for their personal phone numbers apparently. And after the ad-break is…
SWEDEN

Måns is not in costume so is saving his baggy jumper for tonight. You can’t dispute the visual effects for this are very good and really do carry the song. The vocal is good but you can tell he’s holding back in places. Definitely a contender but was there a reason it was on straight after the ad break? Hmmm.

From ESC Nation.

BREAK(Y)?
Not sure if this was a break or another issue. But we have a reminder of the voting numbers for the songs. And then we go to Måns. Is it just to build up suspence or is it to get the props on stage?

It´s pretty obvious why they have a break before, because our performance takes time to set up, that won´t affect our chances at all even though some fans are naive thinking that it will

If we don´t win, then it won´t have anything to do with that commercial break, the answer would be that people didn´t thought that we were the best song ;)

You don't think add breaks matter, then, even when your song's chances rely heavily on the public support?

I was sure that we would be after the break.
EBU hates us.
Europe hates us.
Everybody hates us.

The EBU clearly do....its their go to excuse for their blatant favoritism

Somehow, it's nice  I mean if Portugal wanted to build a circus tent on stage for their act next year and that it takes more than the usual postcard time to get done, I hope they'd be entitled to have a break and a starting position that allow it.

I'm confused, everybody is saying differently. After what performance is that damn break!?

Then why did we qualify for the final if being after a break is so bad as you say?

Being top 10 in a 17 song competition is quite different from being top 1 in a 27 horses' race. If you don't see it, I surely cannot make you ;)
