It's not only the measurable result what determines entry's success. Although traditional Belarumian folk band failed to qualify to the final, they let Rums to once again enjoy the huge show of Nation Song Contest. Last night in Bercenish pubs you could see and hear Rums partying and singing "U Karchme" and for a moment Rumian soul was spread around the globe (wait, isn't NSC world flat?). We percieve NSC as an international party rather than a contest, hence we'll celebrate our attendance regardless of the result.

While ordinary folks look forward to the final, the management of the official Rumian NSC broadcaster makes preparations for the oncoming edition. The choice is already made and although we can't reveal any specific info yet, we'll try to describe what you should expect.
We decided to send more experimental entry than usually. The man standing behind this music project, wasn't born in Rumia, but he achieved a commercial success in our country with his unique crossover. Our ambitious entry, which we hope you appreciate, is a trance song incorporating sacral choral chants and recitement of a christian prayer.

It seems things screwed up. We just realised that the artists we were discussing with, participated a short while ago in Halloween contest. And overusing artists is boog. Fortunately they're not the only one who'd like to perform under Rumian flag. I'll have to discuss the situation with myself.

Yay for me writing 4th post in a row in this thread!

Since the day NSC was broadcasted on our channel for the first time, interest among Rums has surpassed all expectations. To keep it on high level and prevent stagnation, we decided to try something different from the style Rumia is currently associated with, something popular, something what could be expected to fight for high positions and would also be widely appreciated within borders of our own country. Although at first nothing seemed to fulfill all these requirements, it turned out to be so obvious after a while...

Rumia: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura

Since the moment when RKTV was established, our primary goal was to promote Rumian culture within country's border. Becoming a co-operant broadcaster of Nation Song Contest enabled us to reach further lands and promote music among listeners all around the world. We find our participation in the contest to be the biggest success of our station, thus we decided to take an advantage of it in popularizing other branches of art. One of the most important fields of culture in Rumia are videogames.

Arcanum is a game developed in 2001 by Troika Games. It tells story of a fantasy world shaken by the industrial revolution, where fairylands are gradually surpassed by XIX-cenury urban landscapes. Magic and technology start their fight for predominancy, even though they're both elements of the same realm, like opposite sides of the same coin flipping around.

Rumian gamers were charmed by the game's complex plot, open world that avoids linearity, emphasis put into drawing the setting's historical and social background and, last but not least, stunning soundtrack.

Composed by Ben Houge, Arcanum soundtrack isn't electronic ambient typically put into games. It's piece of music designed for string quartet, that in uncommon way manages to capture melancholic or kind of nihilistic mood without being dull and indistinct. On the contrary, it's the most noticeable thing you ecounter as soon as you enter the main menu.

Rumia's 10th Anniversary National Final

Yay, it's our 10th edition! To celebrate the anniversary, Rumska Kultura TV (with a bit of help from the sponsor of the show - Rockself.com) is organising special National Final, featuring all artists who participated for our country in our first decade.

The show is taking place in village of Wicken, known for most popular Rumian music festival - Wicken Open Air - being held there each year.

We can see huge audience coming tonight to watch the NF live. It begins in a moment. One of these artists is going to win right to enter NSC again.

A quick replay will surely be helpful.

Too bad, none of my top3 made it. Those would probably all have gotten 12 points.
