Ester slayed, the staging slayed, her voice slayed.
I could understand the Humans could be left behind, but this should have advanced.
I didn't like the fishiness of it either, but since i liked "on a sunday", I found it easy to let it go and make the most of it.Oh and yes, I am still doing this. Very happily so. I really don't like fishy things and biased "journalists" who can't remain independent.
if there is one person to blame
that person is called emmelie de forest for tanking bella who would have EASILY qualified
Bella kicked ass, she had really good vocals and her song was strong imo. The one to kill for me was Laura Bretan, she seemed talented but the song was a huge NO.
while i agree they are not suited to be juries, i'll just do a p.s.Anyway, most of my point isn't Bella / Laura / Ester, it really is about bloggers not being a good material for any jury in any part of the contest where those bloggers could compromise their neutrality.
As I have already expressed quite a few times by now, so, howgh.
Ester was G R E AT! I really hope we’ll go internal next year, that’s all I have to say right now.
I'm really sad for Romania. The song was cool and I like Ester a lot.
BUT.... I think the staging really is perhaps where this fell apart a bit. It was too much. What I loved about this at the Romanian selection was that it was just Ester on her chair looking moody, couple of guys pretending to play their instruments and the haunting Americana decadent vibes the imagery created. For Eurovision they just took with them too many ideas. Ever since the slight but unnecessary revamp I've felt like the entry has been going in the wrong direction. The sprinkly stardust sound going into the final chorus was a sign. I voted for Romania tonight cause it's brought me joy throughout these months, but it wasn't quite the same entry I fell in love with at the beginning. They should have gone darker with the staging and probably not brought along dancers. The whole thing looked a bit cheap in comparison to other performances tonight. The ideas were many, and the effort was big, but they needed someone there to rein it all in. It's a shame to see it end like this.
