Romania doesn't offer anything which I would consider to be a masterpiece or a bop this time but I also believe that Romania provides many decent choices which could lead to another "sure" qualification again.
Personally, I like 2 Gents the most, followed by Ester Peony, Laura Bretan and Trooper.

Mihai's song is an outdated song in which he obviously copies Shakira.. The song belongs to the year 2003-2004 sang by a skimpy dressed bimbo. There. I said it.
I heard a 15 seconds snippet of Bella's song. It's an uptempo pop song that gave me chills.

Really not a fan of the Mihai song, his voice totally ruins it for me - at least in the studio version. I feel like it should be something i'd enjoy, but i just can't stand his voice. Another singer and I think i'll be'ing at this. Also, don't get me started on that Laura Bretan song, overlooking her weak grasp of english/strong accent even in the studio. This literally couldn't get anymore esc if it tried and I totally eye roll at it, especially where she goes a little operatic. Also, Belgium 2014 calls they want their song back.
Now, what does Ashley like, pray tell?
I'm lowkey feeling kinda partial for that trooper song. I lose interest at the end though tbh, Cyprus 2016 does it better. I quite like the 2 Gents song also, Teodora Dinu song is nice also, as is the song from Steam, it has a nice beat. Although I think i'm throwing my support to The Four though (lowkey expecting this to look a mess live tho) and Nicola to win this NF. One of them would do nicely.
Alos, Claudiu Mireas song reminds me of the UK entry in 2016. :'D Just changed around a little bit.

I've got to admit though that I'm not particularly feeling this song by Laura Bretan. The mixture of pop vocals and opera isn't doing much for me. It doesn't work and is kind of dull. My favourites are Baya, Make Me Your Man and Underground. I think it's probably now or never for a Mihai return. He's as equipped as he'll ever probably be this year, and I think his song could be well received. Jesus will just have to be involved when it comes to general styling and presentation of the entry to prevent any potential car crash from happening. His song is very much the bop though. Super catchy. Has been in my head since I first heard it.

Also, I forgot how thrilling and fun an experience it is to google image search the name "Mihai Traistariu". What a life this man has lived. Instagram selfie superstar, documented hair transplants, accidental nudes. This man has done it all. I'm team M I H A I all the way. We need this superstar back at Eurovision. He's such a character.

Laura Bretan is going to Tel Aviv. The lyrics are a little cheesy, but the arrangement and that voice is literally everything Romania need to qualify. Never thought Birdy combining with opera would work, but it does pretty well here.

This selection is unfortunately not that strong, but thankfully, its still not the worst one so far.
I listened to all the songs several times and this would be my top 10 list:
1. Laura Bretan - "Dear Father"
2. Olivier Kaye - "Right Now"
