It's great year for Romania in my rankings, "Goodbye" was my favourite Eurovision entry of 2018.

After the second place in 2016 (Hayley Evetts - Brand New Day) and the third place in 2017 (Elize & No Stress - Fara Bariere) Lina was declared as the winner of my Ideal Eurovision - 2018.

The horror, last year's selection was dreadful and still the winner won out of corruption anyways

I think it was ok to organize this selection because of centenario and the songs werent worse overall than in many other countries, but the romanians chose the wrong winner. The Humans won totally fair, not sure why you come with corruption.. Feli ruined her song with the english translation and the horrible performance #justiceforBellaSantiago

The semifinalists will be selected on December 20. No more than 24 entries for the semis --> 12 qualify to the final.
International jury & televoters will select the Romanian representative.

The semis will take place in January - February and the final in February.

As far as I remember, no. It's a step in the right direction. I hope the 2018 entry was a wake up call and TVR realised that what "we" (the jury and the fake televote) like it's not what Europe would actually enjoy and vote for.

Now If only some decent hits will be submitted. I'm starting to lose any kind of hope.

Ok, hopefully it won't mean the safest songs will be at the top though, Romanians' craziness is part of their charm: "It's My Life" and "Yodel It!" probably wouldn't have won with the involvement of an international jury.

"Goodbye" was a let-down compared to what Romania is capable of imo: fingers crossed for a good selection
