For me the best part of the original song was the FINAL INSTRUMENTAL PART... and I saw that in the new version they have killed this part so... 2 points from me...
for me this is in the top 3 upbeat songs this year!
it's should get a top 10 spot easily, and I won't be surprised if it goes as high as top 3 overall.
oh hell yeah! we'll be shaking our booties to this all summer long for sureI wouldn't be surprised it if wins . If it doesn't it will STILL be a summer hit, for sure

Well, we'll see. But this is seriously one of ESC's dilemmas, the juries really need to get their act together finally. It's actually a failure for ESC imo if a song that has clear hit-potential and yet fails in ESC, that sort of proves the out of touch with reality this contest sort of still is in.
I'm not saying it should become a contest just to produce a bunch of pop-hits, but still it needs to keep a balance so that it can be seen as relevant. ESC was always seen as backwards and out of touch with actual music trends. If a song like this would fail to qualify for final or not end up high (thanx to juries) (especially when it's quite alone of its kind with the 'summer-hit potential'), then there's a problem for this contest imo.
There is no reason for it to keep up with current trends. Just because something sells well and is modern, doesn't make it good. This is an entry that I don't understand. It's in my bottom 5 and is utterly terrible. The juries do a good job of filtering out the crap. Hopefully they will do the same with this one.

^ Give me links people!
Not everyone is into music trends though. I personally hate trends of any kind. Not everyone enjoys the current mainstream music scene or want Eurovision to reflect that. For me it would be a bit of a sell out (and a laughing stock) if juries or televoters put through entries just for the sake of having some so called hit potential in the final. Good songs are good songs no matter how dated or trendy they are.I think ESC needs to stay relevant not to be a laughing stock, but if you read my comment closely, I don't want it to be just that, but I do find it laughable when songs with actual potential to become for instance summer-hits (don't forget that ESC is shown in the beginning of summer almost), and then get totally overlooked. That shows a contest with no touch of reality and which doesn't really live up to its potential of being a force to be reckon with in today's music scene.
Whether this is crap or not it's subjective, but it has summer-hit written all over it.
And yeah, so voting for dated laughing stocks as "C'est ma vie" proves the juries competent job? Plzzz
Can you give us a link?

But that's just me.
