I was waiting for Azerbaijan's - the vocals were a bit on the weak side but it still easily outclasses most of the other songs and will get top 5!

Well...so maybe they have some microphone problems because they are extremely loud for me... this would fail to qualify anyway
(sad, cause I like the song)
What I saw so far:
Croatia - catchy song, catchy stuff with those clothes changing, could go to the final. But Daria has to improve at the LIVE singing part!
Hungary - very good song, but Kati has tough problems in singing it. She alternates good notes with bad notes, the show isn't very good, I expect more.
Switzerland - maybe the best rehearsal I heard. Cler, clean voice, very nice performance, the song is so cute, as Anna. Good chance for a Final, at last for the Swiss.
Serbia - ok for the first time, but I expect MORE from Nina, wich I like very much. Caroban is a song with big potential, she must take care at the notes...
Poland - overrated until now, Magdalena has problems in singing, i don't think the higher notes at the last part have sense. Hope she will progress!
Georgia - fantastic performance, i was expecting at something very awful!! Very good at first impression, if Eldrine keeps this rythm, should qualify.

Even if Nikki blew it, I think will qualify but I am sure it won't win the Semifinal. I think will be a real Dark Horse now....

I expected Azerbaijan to sound better, but they don't sound horrible. I agree though, that Nigar and Eldar's voices don't mix well together, it's like oil and water.
Portugal! I'm biased, I like it, I like the new protest signs, and I like the new young girl
Hungary! Awesome, awesome awesome. I love her vocals, good thing she's not sick anymore BUT BUT BUT, her backing vocals are not that great.
Lithuania: Evelina is classy and her voice is great, but I don't see this being loved by a million people. Still, people will be taken away by her voice. I wish she had a better song. She's like the Filipa Azevedo for this year.
Croatia: better than the DORA performance. Good costume changes, but I don't like the gimmicky guy and the turntable thing.
Iceland: Sounds decent live, needs more passion
San Marino: Senit surprised me the most, she sounds better live than on the CD Her backing vocals are too loud though, and when they all sing together, her voice mixes well with the other voices (can be good or bad). I like it
Malta: Glen doesn't sound bad. The whole package just doesn't fit right. I can't explain it

Russia - number 2 as quality in the first rehearsals so far, for me. Good show, good voice Alex, ok song, should have a place in the top10 on 14th May.

i expect some fireworks or generally some surprises..........very good song...............amazing LOUKAS!!!!!!!!

If they would've broke some plates on stage it would've been a 100 % perfect perormance
I can say that Lithuania had the best rehearsal today! She was excellent, everything looked nice and simple and more appealing. Azerbaijan was too vague and Nigar's singing wasn't good. Hungary's stage performance was pale and there was nothing going on. The Greek performance was messy, but Loukas sang well.
Malta was ok, San Marino - too boring.

I agree that Evelina had the best rehearsal from today but also the whole semi-final 1. I want her to be not only in the final, but also in the top of the whole contest.

For me the best rehearsal today was the icelandic one. Everything looked and sounded great.
I am disappointed with Azerbaijan and Hungary, both in my Top5. Maybe I was expecting too much, I don't know.
About the greek rehearsal, I loved the background, I loved Loucas, the dancers didn't impress me that much and I still hope that Loucas will eventually kill Stereo Mike in the semifinal!
