In my opinion this is the strongest year for automatic qualifiers since 2012 & 2011. They all chose in Public national selections & the quality is much higher than it has been lately. Even the British song, which may be bland, is going to be well performed by an experienced Eurovision participant.

Odd, I think they all are pretty similar in an underwhelming way. Underproduced with a kind of brave naked expression, I think they will struggle hard to make an impression when it comes live in front of millions. Although she wasn't my favourite in You decide, I think SuRie will come on top of these. I usually struggle hard with ranking, but:

I actually cant remember any year where the big 5 and the host-country were all so far down my list. Only Italy and France (barely) is in my upper half of the scoreboard. Germany is somewhere down in my lower half - while UK, Spain and Portugal are to be found in my bottom 10.
