Me, who did not change their way of voting, but for some reason was expecting to see themselves closer to other peeps, but actually still being far right and alone... 🥴😅
Svobodnia is where they are because you lean somewhat pot1, but don't have a lot of very high % similarities. This is where 2D representation isn't perfect. Nations who lean strongly on one side are in one of the clusters and nations who are very centrist are in the middle. However, nations who are somewhat centrist but lean one way may be pushed outside the graph instead of being closer to the middle where they'd fit better. Some other such cases are Effiland, Bigicia, Halito, or Ugaly.

Oh, I think I got the point.
Still didn't get if Svobodnia would move closer to pot 1 nations if it had more % similarities or not.
Just for some reason I thought I might have more of those this time, but nah, still voting too authentically* to be really similar to pot 1 😅
Other than that, I am more than happy to be in pot 1 👍🏻

*P.S.

I skipped 2 and 3, because pots with these numbers had strong identity in the past, and are still remembered, but don't match any of the pots that exist today.
And now the question from curious me – can you or someone else who remember describe what pots 2 and 3 were like music-wise? 😃😃

Pot 3 in a nutshell banana skin:

In all seriousness, as one of the original members of Pot 3 I'd describe us as the hipster pot. In a time when the contest was a lot more mainstream and pop-oriented we often aimed to stand out and be "original" (or as you can see in the banner above, made by yours truly at the time pots were first introduced for NSC 18, we were the contest's "oddballs"). Internet memes, gimmicky entries (like the banana-themed streak we had going at one point, as seen in the spoiler) and heavy metal were some of our trademarks, or simply genres that few people would otherwise send.

We weren't exactly out to provoke though (not that much anyway), we took the contest seriously, we were true to ourselves and sent entries we actually liked. But results were usually not in our favour, and we received numerous accusations of deliberately trolling and ruining the contest by being "weird" or (false claims of) friendly voting, something that's been parodied in this list that I still occasionally update:

A lot of historical Pot 3 nations are still in the contest (Reym-L-Dneurb, Ugaly, Yaponesia, Halito, Tír an Abhainn, Cydoni-Gibberia...) and are largely the same as ever, but a lot of the things we used to send are more commonplace now and we don't stand out in the same way, and of course our own preferences for what we send and vote for have evolved and expanded over the years.

I'm sure other people will give very different accounts of what Pot 3 was like, but that's a brief history from my perspective.
I'll have to leave the history of Pot 2 to someone else though.

Wow, thank you so much for such a detailed description of Pot 3! xrose
Even with some examples and that list... Omg, what fun! 😃
I think I like that kind of entries sometimes and I value the creativity and fun those bring! 🌟

And now, yeah, I'd like to hear about Pot 2 as well, at least couple of words.
I have some vague memories about me being a part of Pot 2 and that it was pop-oriented as well as Pot 1, but not as strongly... But maybe I'm completely wrong and confused it with newer pots, so that's why I'm asking 😉

Btw, just noticed I'm out of Pot 1 again... 🥲

And also I don't see myself in the text list of Pot 4 @dogmeat

@Rmetr0 yeah, you're definitely on the right lines from my memories of Pot 2. I think I used to loosely categorise it as "indie-pop" whereas Pot 1 was straight-up pop (leaning more towards the dance-pop style).

You did ask this question about five months ago. :p
Just a question out of curiousity - why the strange numbering?

I suppose the same answer still applies.
I skipped 2 and 3, because pots with these numbers had strong identity in the past, and are still remembered, but don't match any of the pots that exist today.
