Senhora do Mar xlove

Anyway, there are some good composers/singers. I'm sure Adelaide Ferreira, Diana Piedade, José Freitas and Teresa will give us the best moments of the two semifinals.

Simone xheart "Desfolhada Portuguesa" is my second favourite Portuguese song, after Lucia Moniz. She was robbed, badly!

Let's not get excited though,

She's 77. There's nothing to be excited about

Why? She is still a singer, don't be ageist..everybody should have chance...pfff..Simone FTW! Lisbon 2016!

Rita Seidi is AWESOME, I saw her performances from the Voice, they were brilliant, and she is from Mozambique originally, she is too beautiful! xlove

Simone and Adelaide... #sigh  :? :|

And some of the song titles like "Dança Joana" do not sound promising at all. xcrazy

 The songtitles don't make us feel like knowing the songs :

Paz xfaint Um fado em Viena (seriously ! Is that finished since the 70s to sing about the hosting town), Lisboa Lisboa (Why singing about the capital every year !) Ha uma mar (sea, sailors, senhora do mar, conquistador...)

On the contrary, I'm curious of Maldito tempo  Quando a lua voltar a passar

It's sad that FdC seems to have the same songs each year... Well... Maybe soon a FdC-gate will explode and EBU will discover that all the participating songs of FdC have been released in 1972 xcrazy xrofl3

But my favourite is A espera das canções. I wonder if it's a tribute to Eurovision fans desperately waiting for UK and Spain to release their entry
Simone FTW ! xbow

Everything that is related to Simone de Oliveira's participation at FdC 2015 is ridiculous. Starting with the song title. xdoh Besides she was a heavy smoker when she was young and she can't sing anymore. xshrug

OMFG! Rubi Machado is an Indian-Portuguese!!

Just look at her performance, it's brilliant:

It's breathtaking, she sings true Indian songs and performs in sari! xlove

Can't wait for her song in FdC..

So, this year, RTP decided to keep it all a secret! No snipets, NO REHEARSALS (!?!)... The first time we will hear the song are live in the semifinals. And the funny thing is that televote is open from the beginning! Amazing news if you are the last to perform (not...).

I agree.. I also didn't like that when they did that in eurovision.
Let everyone first perform, than a full recap and then the people have enough information to vote

2011 voting results was a mess because off that. Most of the early songs did well and most of the later songs flopped in the televote. I agree that it is best to have them perform first then have a recap.

They don't allow any media or public on the rehearsals. Apparently last year they (media, blogs, whatever...) were only allowed to post a 1 minute video of the rehearsals but some of them posted longer videos. So this year no videos at all... (stupid RTP). About the televote I have no idea! But it's in the rules... (even more stupid RTP!) If I was the last to perform I would not be a happy guy...

A song in Portuguese with Indian-sounding music would be interesting and different. It'll be interesting to see what kind of song she'll present at the festival.

I was checking ESC Portugal and noticed an interesting comment. Rumour has it Filipa Batista has the strongest song of the bunch - something in Catarina Pereira's territory (even "better") and produced by 2010 winning composer Augusto Madureira. I was not expecting this from him, but I am glad he took a diferent direction (no ballad like "Há Dias Assim" this time). Seemingly, there are three other highlights: Rubi Machado, Teresa Radamanto and Adelaide Ferreira. I am also interested in Diana Piedade and Gonçalo Tavares' songs.

It will be a difficult decision for Portugal.
Have a ballad? The semi has allready ballads from Malta,Cyprus,Latvia,Iceland,Ireland,Czech Republic and who knows, maybe more.
Or have something up-tempo? => Last year their up-tempo song was damaged by juries.
What should Portugal do?!?!
